this song is a classic the beat is perfect the lyrics were well prepared and the video kept this song from getting old please dont buy this single though, buy the whole album because in addition to getting the other classic off this album, "without me", you get many great backup songs like "sing for the moment", "drips", and the outstanding "buisness". The song shows eminems talent as a musician and a storyteller but keeps it real, not conforming to the current state of music. This is the kind of music everyone relates to, because it is raw, untainted emotion. One thing I cant figure out is this rich guy from boston who also gave his sissy opinion on without me, he was probably circumsised when mobys mouth slipped . Anyway the song is great and the albums a classic 8 mile's coming up soon so dont miss it. I hear that a new D12 albums in the making and I hope it will be as good as devils night. If rich ever came to my city , well maybe I'll spare the obsene details and hope my reveiw gets posted

I like Eminem, but at this point, he's either sold-out or unwillingly sold himself. I got the album when it came out, just as school was about to end for me (giving me time to listen to everything I own). I listened up to that song, and immidietly loved it. It was heart-wrenching and had such a grim, sad tone to it. For those of you who don't know, this song is about his mother and how he is setting the record straight on why he has dissed her in previous songs ("Kill You" to name one.) Now flash foward 2 weeks. I'm in the computer lab at Citybridge (my friends who went to that place who read this should know what that is). We have the radio on JamN94.5 (Bosron rap station). I haven't listen to the song in about a week. Suddenly, I hear a familiar beat coming in on the radio, and then, my friend who was there said, "Now my song is on the radio?"

Now stop and think about. Eminem has made a song about his horrible childhood with his mother that abused him and treated him badly. He is sure that it is the strongest attack on his mother yet. It is most likely heard by all who bought The Eminem Show. But no! That just isn't enough! It has to be seen by the screaming TRL crowd of teenage girls and teenyboppers! As i've said before, you can't make a Cannibal Corpse song about "who-knows-what", and give it to the MTV crowd. It's just stupid! Eventually, the song's gripping story got old and turned into nothing more then a pop song. Have you ever heard a pop song about parents abusing them as kids? Probably not. You can argue that Aaron Carter might have (HAHAHAHA! Funny Watty!!) with all that stuff about how he wants to leave his parents, but lets not get into that.

Anyway, the point is that the idea of taking disturbing/sad (other then "girl u lef' me" pop songs and other relationship stuff, including Pearl Jam.) songs and turning them into pop is stupid. It is stupid, pointless, and it takes the edge and mood out of the songs. Stan was like this too. Eminem, if you are reading this, cut it out, will you. I enjoy you a lot, but don't sell-out on me. In fact, I hope that next time you are invited on TRL, you reject the offer. However, I would definetely recommend the album. It is really great! Even better than the Marshall Mathers LP! I also recommend never turning on the radio ever again. this song has been played out, and it has no edge now. Thank you everyone. Bye!

P.S.-I didn't give it one star cuz it was a good song to begin with.
