This album is another of the classic blues masterpieces the Uppity Blues Women have created. My favorite song on the album is "Love Me To Death" which I think is sung with such feeling by Andra Faye that I believe she means it. Anne Rabson's "Rocket Ship" is a classic blues piano number that on Music Makin' Mama herself can deliver. Gaye sings "I Want My Money Back" about a faded love and "discount love straight off the rack." It's an anthem of truth for many who have been there. Gaye also gets down with the song "I Lost My Baby To Another Man" but her insight into the situation is profound. Any woman who has experienced it will feel better as Gaye assures them that "the tree will grow as it's inclined" and "what does it matter, I know it's not about me." For the acoustic blues fan, or for the fan of real music...what you hear is what you get...the ladies pull no punches on this album. Not only is it a good album to put on while workin' around the house, it's also a great party album. Once again, a must for the lover of acoustic blues.

Picked this up at a thrift shop, don't know why in the world I bought it.
A few songs are so-so. Some are saved by the lyrics, and some are just plain great.
They do some variation of the blues which I very much like. (or maybe I just like them) This isn't cool heavy metal or anything, but overall, this must be one of the best albums I've heard in a long time. Its just fun to listen to.

Saffire is a wonderful blues group. Many, if not most, of the songs have been written by Gaye Adegbalola. Like any good blues, they range from incisive social commentary to just plain fun.

A must for any blues fan, and particularly for women who love the blues.

I bought this for one song, and have ended up loving them all!! Believe it or not, this is Great music for watering the plants and cleaning house. Just like the title says! It will get you moving with it's nice swagger with out having you hyper-ventilate...The music is deep and soulful, the lyrics, fun and playful. This is music for the daytime. I would not put this on for romance, but definitely when the romance is over and you still want to keep it fun.
I would not hesitate to reccommend this to anyone who likes a little blues with all their fun.

This album kept me going when my husband left me. Its musically great, and empowering. It's sense of humor is boundless. Great sing-along blues cd.
