Product Description

You're serious about leaving no trace behind when you car and canoe camp, or perhaps you're just not particularly stoked about crouching and losing your balance while taking a crap in the great outdoors. We're pleased to present the Cleanwaste Portable Toilet. This plastic toilet unfolds from a briefcase-sized block into the same height and bowl dimensions as a standard toilet. A removable mesh holder supports the waste-collection bag, and the biodegradable bag uses eco-friendly powder to turn liquid waste into an odorless solid. The lid protects the seat during the night and removes for stability under the legs when you set up on soft ground. * Includes one waste-bag kit.

Clean and easy to use.

On mine, the housing where one leg snaps in is slightly too big, so does not hold the leg securely when folded in.

Works great is has been very sturdy on boat.

I got a chuckle seeing the "video review" choice for this product. Somehow, I don't think it would be a good idea. lol

This thing works fine. Takes a couple seconds to set up. The legs are a little hard to get "unlocked" at first, because the entire thing is molded plastic. When set up, the lid looks like it will stay put like a seat back, but that isn't the case. I wouldn't bother trying to use it as pictured. It just falls off, because it fits into slots that don't lock down.

It's pretty easy to set up the Wag Bag inside of the netting. You'll have to make sure that you spread out the baggy to provide a big enough target.

The Wag Bag kit comes with toilet paper and an antiseptic wet nap. There's a powder inside the bag, so you have to open it up slowly when getting ready to "install" it in the netting. I would recommend having your own TP, as the stuff that's provided isn't that great. Baby wipes are good to have on hand.

When done with your business, the bag has enough extra plastic to fold over the top and avoid touching anything. It pushes easily into the zip-loc style pouch, and then you can stuff the wet naps in and zip it closed. Easy to dispose of in any trash can, too.

I'm about 250 lbs., and this thing supports my weight with no problems. It doesn't feel shaky at all. It's a little shorter than a normal toilet, but it's not a problem.

As for storage, it doesn't take up much space at all. It's light, and has a carrying handle.

We have been using our PETT toilet for about a year. It's terrific to tote along on camping trips to places that either have no facilities or smelly outhouses. We like that the WAG bags are biodegradable, too - it's good to know they won't be sitting in some landfill 50 years from now.

This is an excellent product. Strong and sturdy, I have no fears of it collapsing under my weight. It is, however, not quite as tall as a conventional toilet, which is one of its advertising points. It's 2 inches shorter than the toilet in my home. That doesn't sound like a MAJOR deal, but for those of us with bad backs and knees, it's sometimes an issue. Otherwise...it's a winner.

At first, I thought it was a bit expensive, but it is one camping item that is worth spending the money on. They have a very good system to dispose of human waste and to make everyone comfortable pooping in the woods. It is portable and packs easy and much smaller than some other solutions. When I go on a trip, I pack a bunch of WAGG bags directly in the open area so they are quickly and easily accessible when you set it up.

Toilets are now becoming required on rivers and in many national parks these days and for good reason. Digging a cat hole is just not desirable for the inexperienced. This toilet and system is easy to use, sanitary and able to be used by kids and adults alike. Mated with a pop-up shelter, and you have privacy to do your doody.

The only negative remark I have for the design is that it can be tippy, so be careful. The legs can sink in sand or loose ground and since you are on a tripod, you need to maintain a relative center of gravity. You can't just flop yourself down on it like a porcelain throne.

I have used this on a 4 day kayak trip and multiple overland 4x4 trips in the backcountry. I also used this in an 'emergency' when our sewer backed up and we couldn't use any water overnight. My wife was finally grateful that I had all the camping equipment and this toilet was a savior that night for the whole family.

Don't overstock your WAGG bags b/c the bags are meant to be biodegradable and they will start to degrade after two years.

Overall, this is a fantastic product and a great value. The more we use it, the more I am happy with the purchase.

Customer service is also fantastic! After our trip to Death Valley last year, I could not find the mesh bag that goes in the bottom of the toilet that holds the WAGG bags. I looked around to purchase a replacement without any luck. I called up the company and they sent one out right away. Excellent service!

I'm an avid backpacker so, I don't have a problem doing the doodie in the forest behind a tree. But, when taking the family (wife and 2 girls) out camping where there are no facilities, this product is essential.

Set up is a breeze. Anyone with a brain can figure it out. The bags are easily placed inside the mesh pocket underneath the seat. Just make sure the circumference of the lid closes down on top of the plastic bag. Have your own toilet paper and baby wipes for a fresher clean.

We concluded that you could use one bag at least twice, depending on how much waste there was. This helps because the bags are a little expensive. Just make sure you close the toilet lid to keep the bugs and flies away.

Also make sure that the toilet is on terra firma (stable, flat ground) because even though the seat is extremely stable, leaning to one side can tip it over.

Worth every penny. Very happy with the purchase.

When disposing of the waste, we added an extra layer of protection by putting the WAG bag inside another XL Ziploc to transport until we could find a trash bin.
