Installation was much easier than most reviews had said. Follow the instructions and it will turn out just fine. Do need to super clean the window and scrape it with a razor. I skipped the razor and have several small bumps that were still stuck to the window.
It did slightly darken the window and I think it deadened the sound ever so slightly.
The main reason for my purchase was to deaden the sound and try to eliminate some condensation. Neither are advertised to help/solve either issue but stand to reason that it would help slightly. Waiting to see about the condensation.

The directions to apply the film were easy to follow. I found using a sharp x-acto knife to trim the film provided a nice finish. It also helped to have a large flat surface to prep the film before applying it to the glass.

Check your order when you receive it. The companies policy requires you to check your order within 5 days. I didn't receive 15' of film, the roll was short by 2.5'. When I contacted the company they were willing to replace the missing film but I would need to pay for the cost of shipping since it was beyond the 5 days. Customer service was fast to respond.

4 star rating is due to the order not being accurate and troubles with customer service.

Can't give it the 5th star until after the summer sun is tested on scrap blue fabric (most likely to fade) folded and hung in the window to make sure it doesn't fade.

I did windows 34x30 by myself. Put 3 pieces of looped blue Scotch tape on shower wall. Determined the uv film side and stuck it to the tape. Separated the non-uv film down about 3/4 and sprayed. Ran into bedroom and sprayed that window. Ran back to the shower and removed remainder of non-uv and sprayed it all again. With it dripping wet I ran it back to the window and applied. Key is having plenty of liquid to allow positioning. Then do a general squeege and HOLD before knifing as any pressure may cause it to slip askew. If it isn't slipping you didn't apply enough liquid.
I got the Gilla kit with spray solution. I trusted their formula rather than me mixing soap and water!! And their squeegee worked like a charm. Didn't feel like I would scratch the film and yet used heavy pressure. Generally one squeegee should remove the liquid, but I came back again in the cross direction just to be sure and kept a paper towel in hand to catch the seepage.
I also had pre-cleaned the window and used a razor scraper to go over it. Never know when you will have spider poo.
I would suggest not doing on a rainy day (outside drops can be confusing) or a sunny day (blinded much?!)

I did encounter a fold at the end of the roll (like it was the end of the real roll) about 1 foot in - so that was wasted. You might want to order extra.

I needed a UV blocking window film, that didn't have a mirror finish, this product is what I was looking for. I've been using Gila Platinum on my other windows, and expected this to be similar. It's a little different to work with, because the product is thicker, and the adhesive is a heck of a lot stronger. I had a hard time removing some of the air bubbles, until I realized that you can press down a lot harder on this film, than the Gila. I had to redo one piece, and it really stuck to the glass. I can only imagine what a bear it would be to remove after it cures. It does darken the window slightly, but you can still see the front door from the street, which is what I wanted. I used it on my single pane storm door.

This is an excellent product and does exactly what it says it will do. Reduces glare, keeps heat out or in, and reduces furniture fading. Installation can be tricky, so it is best to start with a smaller window. (Larger windows, such as patio doors, should only be tackled with some experience handling the product.) Also, it is a plastic film, so it can be susceptible to wrinkling and scratching if it is not handled properly. I have installed it on two prior homes with many windows and can't imagine living in a home where the windows weren't tinted! Great solution for summer heat and glare.
