The Clear Word Bible Paraphrase has been perfect for me!
Bennett
This is but one example of who knows how many that the Clear Word corrupts and twists the word of God to fit a false doctrine.
C. Flinn
I would recommend it to anyone who wants to study and understand the Bible.

Some people writing reviews on The Clear Word must not have read the Preface. It clearly states " The Clear Word is not a translation, but a devotional paraphrase of Scripture expanded for clarity. It is intented to build faith and nurture spirtual growth. It should not be considered a study bible. Excellent translations of the Scriptures are avaliable for such purposes." Meaning other translations exist to be a study bible, like the King James Version or the New King James Version or whatever your choice maybe. A paraphrase uses current language to make the text more understandable. This is Webester's defination of paraphrase " a rewording of the meaning of something spoken or written".

Unless you can read Hebrew for yourself, then any Bible you read is someone elses interpretation. The Bible writers didn't write in english, spanish, french, etc. They didn't even use punctuation in their writings. Someone else translated the Bible into these other languages and added the punctuation marks ( the periods, question marks and commas, etc.). Here is an example of how one comma can make a sentence read completely different. Luke 23:43 - Verily I say unto thee, To-day shalt thou be with me in paradise. Suppose the interpreter put the comma in the wrong place and it actually belongs this way - Verily I say unto thee To-day, thou shalt be with me in paradise. The position of that one comma completely changes the interpretation doesn't. So how do you know their interpretation is correct? Unless you can read Hebrew yourself, you don't. Your only taking someone elses word that your choice of the Bible is translated correctly.

Some Churches have their own Bible. The Seventh Day Adventist do not. They use the same Bible most people use, The King James Version. And as for Ellen G.

A paraphrase is someone else's idea of what something means. It is not a word for word interpretation. If you read the bio from the authur, you will know that he didn't intend for anyone to replace there bible with his paraphrase. And if his interpretation says something different than the text, I'm sure that if you study your bible, you will see that he is not that far off. I'm reading the clear word now and everything that I have read so far, if you look it up in scripture through out your bible and not just in that one scripture, so far for me has matched pretty accurately. Not only that, this paraphrase says nothing about Ellen G. White or the Adventist. He clearly says this is his own view and really just a really nice copy of his study notes put into a book. I believe this book will be a blessing to anyone who reads it and uses there bible along with it as a study tool.

Finally, a Bible that's an easy read. Jack Blanco takes out all the "thous and thees" and uses everyday language making this Bible a pleasure to read and understand. Anyone who is looking to read the Bible and understand it for the first time will appreciate this version. I use it as my early morning devotion and instead of falling back to sleep, trying to get past all the thees and thous, I find I can't put it down!

Overall we are very pleased with the Blanco Clear Word Bible. We are aware that its only a paraphrased Bible but with that in mind its a great source of spiritual devotional which serves its purpose. If you are interested in a devotional or easy to understand Bible we recommend this Bible for you.

I've read the Bible in its entirety using the New King James Version. It took me a year. I've study the Bible using many different translations for about five years. I'm now reading the Clear Word Bible and am almost done. It has only taken me six months to read vs. one year. I still open up my other translations and have bible studies in a group using many different translations at a time so we can compare. The Clear Word says the same thing but in a very unique simple way. It flows so that I didn't have to read a verse over and over before it sunk in. I've picked up and remembered more with this Bible than I have with any other version. I'm ordering many for my friends who feel the same way. I have also found that there is no influence on church or religion to bring in different views from any other version but has made them a bit easier to read.

Jack Blanco states in the preface that this is NOT a new bible, but rather, well you NEED to read it!! I have been so BLESSED

with this book, it HAS cleared up so many passages that confused me, I read his interpretation & POOF, I'd SEE it clearly, oh my, it WAS RIGHT there, HOW did I NOT see this B4??

Well, :THE CLEAR WORD", is the perfect name for this book!! It DID make CLEAR so many scriptures that I just could see for over 37 years!!!!
