Before you purchase this, you need to look at where the transmitters are for the TV stations you want to see. NOT WHERE THE TV STATION'S STUDIOS ARE, BUT WHERE THE TRANSMITTER TOWERS ARE! They could actually be very far from the TV station's studios. For example I live hear Washington, DC so I should be able to get TV stations there, but you can't have big towers in DC, so all the TV stations there have their transmitters located well out of the city, some in Virginia, much farther from me than the studios themselves. A lot of stations have their towers up on hills out on cheaper rural land, it all depends on where you live. If you are out in the boonies, this kind of antenna will probably not work. You can only get local broadcast TV stations, so call them and see where their transmitters are as you may be out of range for this type of antenna, which they claim is 25 miles, so count on less than that. They do not tell you it won't work with older non-digital TVs w/o a converter box either. You can buy a very similar antenna to better one at most any store that sells TV's, for a lot less too, so go buy one of those if you think you are in range and see if it works and you can take it back and get ALL your money back if it does not. If you have to return this you are out $8.00 shipping (each) plus your cost to ship it back and then wait who knows how long for a refund! This type of antenna would not work for me at all, I had to purchase a more expensive one that is mounted outdoors and even with that I do not get a lot of stations living 32 miles from the White House. There may not be all that many broadcast channels within range in your area- that is ALL you can get with an antenna, you will not get stuff like ESPN, Weather Channel, A&E, shopping channels and all that. All you can get will probably be ABC, CBS, NBC Fox, local PBS if you have it nearby and a couple more in your area. What you are "able to get for free" is what is free to anyone with an antenna, this antenna does not enable you to get anythign else. They do say it in small print on the ad, but to be clear you get NONE of the cable TV channels and you will only get the few broadcast channels in your area. It is digital, you will either receive a channel or not, it is not like old rabbit ear TV where they came in fuzzy or there was snow. You will get a good picture or no picture with digital TV. Almost everything they sell on informercials does not work like it says, customer service is awful and you are paying jacked up shipping charges, so pass on this as you can get the same for less at your local electronics store and get a FULL refund if it does not work for you.

When I first tried this antenna it did not work, I scanned and could only get 3 channels then I moved the TV by a window and stuck the antenna to the window by the suction cups that are built-in and after I stuck the antenna onto the window I rescanned for channels and I was able to receive 21 channels all clear including every single one of the major broadcast networks. I live 30 miles east of the big city so that may play a role as well. I would say if you live as close to the broadcast area as I do and you want free tv with a cheap antenna try this and make sure to attach the antenna to the window it works like a charm. Good luck to everybody, I am highly pleased with this purchase.

I tried the CLEARTV antenna in every conceivable position, ran the auto scan on my tv and ZERO channels . The FCC should investigate this company and the claims it makes. 100% Junk Junk Junk Should be no stars

This is just a glorify marketing product of an antenna you can get at a Dollar store. The commercial made it sounds like they bypass the channels and offer it to you for free. In reality the channels are always free and you can use any antenna to connect. DO your research don't be an idiot fall for these scams.

This is basically just a cheap antenna that plugs into your TV. Try this first. I took a five foot piece of plain old speaker wire and gently slid it in the center hole on the coaxial on the back of my TV. "just let it dangle or thumb tack it to the wall" I did a channel scan and got just as many channels. Just saying.

I purchased this antenna for a TV in our bedroom that is not connected to Cable, just hoping to get our local channels. The TV is by a window and the antenna is positioned on the window - still only found two of our local channels...disappointing to say the least. It's not worth the trouble and re-stocking fee to send it back, but I wouldn't buy it again.

everything thing in that commercial is lies and this is nothing but crap.My sister bought one AFTER I TOLD HER NOT TO. I told her to buy a outdoor channel master digital antenna it ranges from $80.00 to little over a $100.00 and it is a outdoor antenna, read the reviews on here. I pick up over 60 stations very clear even during storms and rain when my dish network goes out..DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF CRAP...Spend a little more money buy a rotor with your channel master that you can turn from indoors as for me I like watching TV I had a professional installed mind of a little over $350.00 and it was well worth it..

Worked for me! I already had a cheap indoor antenna from Walmart so I bought this because it was under $20. I figured that it was worth a try and it couldn't have been worse than I already had. I live outside Washington D.C. in Maryland, pretty close to towers and I was only getting a couple of channels on my old antenna. This antenna worked great! I get almost 30 channels! Almost because one channel constantly goes in and out so I don't count that one. It comes in crystal clear picture and great HD. It took some time finding the best place to put it. I don't have it on a window, however, I'm considering getting an extension so it can reach. We haven't had cable in almost four years now and although I would never go back, it's good that I can get local channels for free.
