How the Digital Pregnancy Test Works

When you are pregnant your body produces the pregnancy hormone hCG (human Chorionic Gonadotrophin). The amount of hCG in your body increases in the early stages of pregnancy. The Clearblue Digital Pregnancy Test detects the pregnancy hormone in your urine and is over 99% accurate when used from the day of your expected period¹ – saving you a trip to your doctor’s office to learn whether you are pregnant or not.

Testing Directions

Clearblue recommends that you test from the day you expect your period. However, the amount of pregnancy hormone increases rapidly in early pregnancy and Clearblue Digital Pregnancy Test can be used as early as 4 days before your expected period. That’s 5 days sooner than waiting until you miss your period to test. If you test before your expected period and get a ‘Not Pregnant’ result, there is still a chance that you may be pregnant and you should test again when you expect your period. The levels of pregnancy hormone in your urine may not be high enough yet to be detected.⁴

Follow these easy steps when testing:

1. Remove the test from its wrapper.
2. Point the Absorbent Tip downward in your urine stream for 5 seconds.
3. An hourglass symbol will flash letting you know the test is working.
4. After 3 minutes, your result will appear in words, either Pregnant or Not Pregnant.

Find Your 2 Best Days to Conceive

Each menstrual cycle, there are 2 best days during which having sex is most likely to result in conception – these two days are the day before ovulation and the day of ovulation. I just returned from the doctor's office and found out I am not pregnant, despite the positive read from Clear Blue Easy. Still in disbelief, I took another test and sure enough it says positive too. This test obviously needs to go back to the lab. After two miscarriages, this is a tremendous disappointment.

I have been trying to concieve 13 years now, I got the flu 3weeks ago and since have been tired my 13 yr old daughter said "mom, I know your pregnant, I just feel it" so I went and bought a test easy enough pregnant or not pregnant right, well I took the test in the morning 1st thing and it said pregnant I was on cloud nine in shock my husband and I were elated, but I wanted to be sure before I got telling people outside my immediate family so I had a blood test "It was Negative" I'm so tired from this emotional rollercoaster and I called Clearblue they said they want all the packaging and are sending me an envelope to send it in to them for their lab to review,, I looked here and it seems I'm not the only one, what emotional distress, I think I'd pull this product until the testing phase is over, or until all the kinks are worked out..

My huband and I have been disappointed three times by this product during two different months. My doctor confirmed that we are not pregnant with both blood and urine tests. Clearblue will only refund for one test.My doctor has ruled out ovarian cysts with an ultrasound and I'm not on meds so false positives can occur with this product. buyer beware!!!
