From the Manufacturer

The Clearblue® Digital Pregnancy Test is the world’s first ever one-step digital pregnancy test and the world’s biggest selling digital pregnancy test today. When you need to know, the Clearblue Digital Pregnancy Test has unmistakably clear digital results and over 99% accuracy when used from the day of your expected period.1 It's accuracy you can trust because it’s as accurate as a doctor’s test.2 Two digital tests come in each box and feature an LCD window to give results in easy-to-read words: ‘Pregnant’ or ‘Not Pregnant’. No more interpreting hard-to-read lines – after all studies have shown 1 in 4 women can misread a traditional pregnancy test result.3

How the Digital Pregnancy Test Works

When you are pregnant your body produces the pregnancy hormone hCG (human Chorionic Gonadotrophin). The amount of hCG in your body increases in the early stages of pregnancy. The Clearblue Digital Pregnancy Test detects the pregnancy hormone in your urine and is over 99% accurate when used from the day of your expected period1 – saving you a trip to your doctor’s office to learn whether you are pregnant or not.

Testing Directions

Clearblue recommends that you test from the day you expect your period. However, the amount of pregnancy hormone increases rapidly in early pregnancy and Clearblue Digital Pregnancy Test can be used as early as 4 days before your expected period. That’s 5 days sooner than waiting until you miss your period to test. If you test before your expected period and get a ‘Not Pregnant’ result, there is still a chance that you may be pregnant and you should test again when you expect your period. The levels of pregnancy hormone in your urine may not be high enough yet to be detected.4

Follow these easy steps when testing:

  1. Remove the test from its wrapper.
  2. Point the Absorbent Tip downward in your urine stream for 5 seconds.
  3. An hourglass symbol will flash letting you know the test is working.
  4. After 3 minutes, your result will appear in words, either Pregnant or Not Pregnant.

Improve Your Pregnancy Chances with an Ovulation Test

Ovulation tests help identify the 2 peak fertile days each month during a woman’s cycle. It is during these two days (the day prior to ovulation and the day of ovulation) that having sex is mostly likely to result in pregnancy. But pinpointing these days can be tricky. Every woman’s cycle is unique and it can vary from month to month. That’s why using one of Clearblue’s ovulation kits can help simplify the process of trying to conceive. Find the test that’s right for you in our Ovulation Test Buying Guide. You may also want to read our Fertility Monitor Buying Guide and learn how a more in-depth tracking of your hormone levels can help typically identify up to 6 fertile days each cycle.

1 99% accurate at detecting typical hormone levels. Note that hormone levels vary. See insert.
2 As accurate as a doctor’s urine test.
3 Current Medical Research & Opinion, Vol. 24, No. 6, 2008, 1645-1649.
4 SPD data on file. In clinical testing with early pregnancy samples, Clearblue Digital Pregnancy Test detected the pregnancy hormone in 51% of pregnant women when testing 4 days before their expected period, 82% at 3 days before their expected period, 90% at 2 days before their expected period and 95% at one day before their expected period.

Product Description

The Clearblue Easy Digital Pregnancy Test is as accurate as a Doctor's Test. Get unmistakably clear results and over 99% accuracy when used from the day of your expected period (that's 5 days sooner than waiting until you miss your period). A clear digital readout in words, Pregnant or Not Pregnant eliminates the hard-to-read lines of traditional pregnancy test results.

1.0 out of 5 stars Another false positive, May 26, 2010
This review is from: Clearblue Easy Digital Pregnancy Test (Health and Beauty)
I will never forget the joy I felt when I got my first positive pregnancy test with Clearblue Easy Digital, after months of failed attempts and fertility drugs. And I will never forget the agony and uncertainty when another test (EPT), taken minutes later, had the dreaded words "Not Pregnant." The makers of Clearblue Easy Digital should be ashamed. A quick internet search will show you many, many women who have had false positives with this test. This is not consistent with a test that is supposedly 99% accurate. Something is making this test say "Pregnant" for an awful lot of women who are just a few days away from getting their periods. This was no chemical pregnancy; the test was just dead wrong. I called my OB to tell her about it, and they were aware that this brand could give you false positives. I had no idea until I experienced it for myself. I would never wish that on anyone.

On the bright side, I got to see what it feels like to be a mom for a few minutes. I hope God blesses me with a real pregnancy one day. The test I use to find out will NOT be Clearblue Easy Digital.

1.0 out of 5 stars NEVER AGAIN!!!, April 17, 2011
This review is from: Clearblue Easy Digital Pregnancy Test (Health and Beauty)
DO NOT USE!!!! I was trying to get pregnant with my boyfriend before he left for Afghanistan and I was a day or two late and I took one of these test, it said I was pregnant. We were all excited. Then I took the other one in the morning just to make sure. It said Not Pregnant. So I ran out and bought a different brand and it said I wasn't either. They are known for false positives. I am not the only woman who is going through this heartache. I am never going to use this brand EVER again. If I could I would give it 0 stars!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best test on the market!, December 26, 2007

I think these are the most sensitive HPT on the market, even more sensitive than First Response Early Results. I tested positive as early as 10 days past ovulation with these, while there was barely a line on the FRERs.
