As someone who was faced with a new diagnosis for my daughter involving anatomical problems in her airway and palate, this book gave me all the right information I needed at the very beginning of my learning curve. I have continued to return to this book over and over as I have become more educated in the options available to my daughter and in bringing sense to what is, to me, an alien medical world.

This book also brought me two additional benefits that were a surprise. First of all, I grew to understand what to expect from those treating my daughter and realized who was the best local craniofacial team to work with. Secondly, the book contains treatment techniques that are valuable to any speech pathologist working with a cleft palate child.

As a parent, I feel confident in recommending this book to anyone looking to learn more about cleft palates and how they affect children.
