Great book on Lesser Known Clematis
There are loads of books out there that cover the large and showy garden clematis, but far fewer that discuss the generally smaller-flowered (though equally spectacular), and to me far more interesting, species. Format too small
I agree with the other review on content and pictures. I'm fairly elderly and would have greatly enjoyed this if I didn't need a magnifying glass for the index. If a larger format had been used the text and pictures would be even better.

This book is a wealth of botanical and cultural information as to species which are almost always passed over or treated cursorily elsewhere. If nothing else, the photos are great to have. If you are looking to broaden your knowledge of the grand diversity of the plant world or thinking of adding something to your garden that beautifully shows of your great good taste and discernment and is generally more graceful, more refined and more subtle then that vine that all your neighbors have clambering over their mailboxes, you should explore this book. Highly recommended.
