I recently bought this for my 12 yr old cousin. The quality of the dress was unbelievable. The dress is made from really nice, soft material and is layered which makes it really thick. She absolutely loved it!

My daughter wanted to dress up as Cleopatra for Halloween and this costume fit the bill. We ordered it on-line because the Large sizes were sold out in the seasonal stores we visited (so it was apparently a popular choice). It offers good quality and completeness for a costume in this price range. The only caution: Sizes run a bit small. My daughter's about 5', 115 lbs and the Lg size was snug. Any older/bigger girls may want to look at different costumes, that can accomodate bigger kids.

The quality of the costume was better than most, however it did run a bit small, so I recommend ordering a size larger than normal to insure it fits. The head piece was way too small, I had to sew an extra piece of material into it to make it fit. That was a pain, but the rest of the costume just fit, so I figured I would deal with it, especially to not have to return it with Halloween a week away. The green cape that comes with it velcros to the arm pieces, also a pain, my daughter left it in the car! If you lift your arms too high while wearing it, they just come unvelcroed. The dress was made pretty heavily and the details are nice and sparkly, I don't know where you would get a better costume unless you sewed it yourself, LOL!

This site has asked me to do a review on a toy. This is actually a costume I purchased for my 9 year old daughter. The loved it and the quality and make of this costume is great. She is going to look beautiful. We checked out a book about Cleopatra in the library and read about her so she would get an idea of who she was and can share it with her classmates. I can not wait till she wears it.

This costume was a wonderful surprise! It is sewn very well and includes all of the accessories shown in the picture. True to size. Fabric seems more durable than most costumes in this price range. Definitely worth the money. My two daughters, ages 7.5 and 9, both love it!

This cleopatra costume was of better quality than I expected. It was beautiful. My daughter loved wearing it and felt like a queen in it. We didn't need to add anything to it except shoes. Exceptional quality and value for the price.

My granddaughter needed to do a biography for school, both a written and oral presentation. Her teacher has encouraged the children to dress appropriately for their character. My granddaughter has been fascinated by Cleopatra. I went online and found this costume. It was so much more than I anticipated. The quality is excellent and the material substantial. It fits beautifully and makes her feel like a princess. It was exactly what she wanted. After using it for her report at school she will also use it for Halloween. Well worth the cost!

I actually wrote a negative review previously when I was frustrated that I hadn't heard back from their Customer Service...but I have since realized the error was on my part as I sent my original request to the wrong email address. When I re-sent my request, I got immediate, professional, and friendly service and they went out of their way to send us not only the missing headpiece, but a whole new costume! So I am very pleased with Party America and my daughters both LOVE their costumes.

Our daughter fell in love with the costume when she saw something similiar in iParty. While it is on the expensive side, it was a good value. The upper arm bands were a bit tight for her arms and the collar and bands scratchy, but the costume was stunning on her. I wish shoes would have come with it, but we were able to use some gold and silver sandals we had purchased at the end of the summer since it was warm this Halloween.

I was impressed with the quality of this costume. It really is very nice for a Halloween costume. The headband did not fit at all so it was not used but we found another one at a halloween shop. My daughter had several Halloween events so it really needed to hold up well. For the most part it did. However, we found that if there were any areas on the arm band where there was velcro exposed, it "picked" her dress. After her first event, the velcro had rubbed against her dress so much, the fabric had loose threads and pills all over where her arms had laid. This got worse when she wanted to remove the cape as it tends to constantly pull loose from her arm bands very easily and was a little aggravating if she wanted to run and play. For the last two events, I left off the cape all together and actually cut out the velcro pieces from that and stuck them to the arm band pieces to prevent more damage to the dress. That helped. My daughter got many compliments on this costume. Despite the headpiece being ridiculously small, I do recommend it. Like I said before, just try and be aware of the exposed velcro as it will tear up the outer lining of the dress.
