There is a growing gnomopolis in our front yard. I don't know how it started, exactly. My husband brought one home on a whim, and then another, and then before we knew it the entire front yard went to gnome Hell.
This little gnome sits with his friends -- the Seattle Seahawk gnome (Blue, because he's blue and looks like the old guy from the movie Old School), the Pittsburgh Steeler's gnome (who was my dad's until he passed away this year), and soon the Cleveland Indians gnome. They romp with five other old-time gnomes and some wire ants, and all is well. On a serious note, this gnome is the smaller version, and I kind of like him that way. They're cuter when they're around 11 inches. This gnome is well-made, and I think he was worth the money, because he and his brethren have not faded, even in Washington state rain and wind. Our Travelocity gnome? Well, he might need a paint job. That sissy. Yes. This is a good gnome. Put him to work. And watch out for the Gnome Liberation Front.
