Combining the best features of a wedge, putter, iron, and hybrid club, the Cleveland Niblick is designed to optimize scoring conditions for greater accuracy, consistency, and forgiveness. The Niblick incorporates wedge, putter, iron, and hybrid technologies with breakthrough Zip Groove and Gelback Technologies for a perfect balance of performance, versatility, and forgiveness. The larger volume of Zip Grooves helps channel more debris at impact than traditional grooves, creating optimal spin and distance control. Gelback technology removes unwanted vibration on mis-hits while allowing the player necessary feedback from the clubhead for a soft yet responsive feel.

Available with 37 degrees of loft and 42 degrees of loft, the Niblick Hybrids are optimized for slower greens, short rough, and desert courses (Niblick 9--37 degrees) or faster greens and undulating terrain (Niblick 10--42 degrees).

Hybrid Technology:

• Wedge: Wedge sole with 8 degrees of bounce (4-6 degrees more than a short iron) to prevent fat shots.
• Putter: Putter length and setup to improve control and consistency.
• Iron: An iron leading edge to hosel transition for a natural address position.
• Hybrid: Increased heel-toe blade length, perimeter weighting, and CG depth increase MOI to improve consistency.

C.P.A.R. System:

• Chip: The putter setup and forgiving wedge sole reduce negative outcomes--allowing you to think "make."
• Pitch: Perfect combination of club length, loft, lie, and Zip Grooves for consistent trajectory and spin.
• Approach: Larger and more stable head improves approach shot consistency and accuracy. Engineered with a head weight, club length, and loft for calibrated full-shot distance control with the shot stopping power of Zip Grooves. (i.e. Niblick-9 goes 9 iron distance on a full-shot).
• Recover: Perfect loft and lie angle for punching out of trouble. The bounce on the wedge sole is perfect for reducing digging on non-grass lies (desert, dirt, pine needles, mud, etc.).

Zip Grooves:
Cleveland Golf's biggest grooves ever are 25 percent bigger than standard grooves. On each Niblick Hybrid, the grooves are milled to maximum conforming dimensions using a proprietary CNC mill bit to create envelope-stretching geometry for added shot consistency. This larger groove volume helps channel more debris at impact than traditional grooves, creating optimal spin and distance control.

The absolute integrity of Zip Grooves is maintained by the application of a proprietary coating to each groove for protection during the face sandblasting process. The resulting Zip Grooves are pristine and shiny, making Zip Grooves Cleveland Golf's biggest, most consistent, precise, and visible wedge technology to date.

Gelback Technology:
Gelback, Cleveland Golf's lightweight, visco-elastic, vibration-damping material, is placed directly behind the hitting area of the clubface in the back cavity. Gelback is vibration-tuned to remove unwanted vibration on mis-hits while still allowing the player necessary feedback from the clubhead for a soft yet responsive feel.

Niblick 9--37 Degrees of Loft:
The Niblick 9 with 37 degrees of loft is best suited for slower greens, short rough, and desert courses. The lower loft improves consistency on chips and is ideal for punching out of trouble. 9 iron distance on full shots.

I disagree with some that say this is JUST for high handi-cappers. Yes, high HC will definatley benefit from this club, but I'm an 11 HC and know single digit golfers that use the club. In my case, I have trouble with chipping. I can chip like a pro on the practice green but on the course (1 shot, 1 chance), I am inconsistent. I'll chunk it or blade it, etc.
With the niblick, it is easier to hit. Period. At the practice green, I hit a set of twenty balls and get them ALL very close. The difference before was I would use an 8 or 9 iron to chip and would get MOST of them close, with the occassional chunk. So on the course, I still may not hit it close, but it won't be because of a chunk/blade. I may just hit it too hard.

This club does require some practice to get used to the distance. It is great for 100 yards and in, but for chipping, you will have to get used to it since the ball comes off a little hot, especially if you use "hinge & hold".

IF you use soft hands, just let the club fall on the ball, it will pop it up every time. Very easy to hit.

From 100 yards in this club will be your best friend. The weight of the club does all of the work. Be it from the fairway, or the rough (which this works extremely well in) it makes for an easy shot, and next to impossible to hit thin. Great loft and next to no run after landing. Forgiveness and accuracy is excellent. If you have yet to break 100, this is a club that you may strongly want to consider.
