The book traces the history of the Indians and Browns at the stadium, and recalls the many other events that were held there, including religious events, rock concerts, and carnivals. The book also includes chapters on construction and demolition, and has a 16-page center color photograph spread.

About the Author
James A. Toman, also a native Clevelander, holds a Ph.D. in education and counseling. He has written 11 books on various aspects of Cleveland history, focusing chiefly on downtown Cleveland and public transportation. Other works include Horse Trails to Regional Rails: The Story of Public Transportation in Cleveland, and Fumble: The Browns, Art Modell and the Move.
Gregory G. Deegan, a Cleveland native, holds a master's degree in history. He is a partner in Cleveland Landmarks Press, Inc. and a co-author of the company's 1999 release The Heart of Cleveland: Public Square in the 20th Century.

As a die hard member of the dawg pound, this book will always have a special place in my heart. It describes in rich detail the influence and impact Cleveland Stadium had on the city. I'd highly recommend it - Go Browns!
