For over eight years I have lived a life of low carbing. The beauty of low carb is not having to eat low fat. In fact it is the fat that makes this way of eating work. Fat is not your enemy. It is combining fat with high carbs that cause problems. I am very healthy and do not have high cholesterol, or any other health issues that people associate with eating fat.

This cook book really disappointed me. Egg Sandwiches? Fat free cream cheese for the cheesecake? It is the fat that will keep you satisfied. Some of the recipes might be ok but don't choose low fat choose yummy good full fat ingredients.

I do not cheat and know what I am talking about. Read Genocide BY DR. JAMES EDWARD CARLSON B.S., D.O., M.B.A., J.D. or Protein Power BY Dr. Michael R. Eades , Or for goodness sake Dr. Atkins books. Read the books people to know the truth. This way of eating makes sense and it works.

I got one page in to the book before I found idiotic advice about avoiding fat. Anyone that recommends reducing egg yolk usage doesn't know what a low carb diet actually is and should not be writing low carb books.

after reading through the entire book I have to say that I am quite disappointed in the recipes. if they author had done even a cursory bit of research they would have realized that low carb goes with HIGH FAT. There is also the little bit about using as whole of food as you can find, textured soy protein doesn't even come close. I also noticed the use of egg white, the yolk is the most nutritious part of the egg and if any part of the egg should be left behind it should be the white. All of these recipes will have to be adapted to increase the fat level in order to be truly low-carb. I am VERY grateful that I didn't put any money out on this.
