Spectacles for the nerd in all of us,

Don't expect pretty. These specs aren't that, not by a long shot.
You can probably expect your spouse to turn up her (or his) nose once you put them on. Mine did. And I knew what she was thinking: tacky. But they are neat in a nerdy sort of way. You'd have to be psychotic to lose them, which is helpful for space cadets like me. And when you pull them apart at the bridge, small children think you are magical. One thing, though. If the size of your head rivals a pumpkin like mine does, these specs will be a tight fit.

I love these glasses. I used to keep both reading glasses and sunglasses on chains around my neck and they constantly got tangled. Another problem with chains is when you lean forward the chain swings out and the glasses catch on stuff, you stand up then chain and/or glasses break apart. These glasses solve the problem. I ordered them for my husband to try, but I want my own now. Ladies--just wear them under your hair along your neckline ! (I live in land of big hair in the sunny south and we are NOT gonna wear anything that screws up our hair) Also, the reviewers that complained of the glasses not being large enuf--the metal arms of these glasses will extend in and out of the plastic portion and will fit all sorts of head sizes. It takes a good grip to pull the arms in or out to adjust--I think these other folks never tried that. Maybe the manufacturer should include a slip of paper on bright orange paper w/ those instructions for people who don't realize that they are adjustable.. and as to style, if this companyis successful w/ these, maybe they'll add a cat-eye style like I'd like. But meanwhile, the extra convenience of these basic ones make up for the lack of jazzy colors and sparkley stones, etc...like my other reg. reading glasses. Try them.

Pretty Color but doesn't do for reading in bed,

I bought the glasses hoping that I would be able to use them after some upcoming surgery. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that instead of being pliable similar to many string arrangements for hanging glasses off one's neck, these are rigid. Consequently, when I tried to use them in bed the rigid "string" meant that the glasses were several inches away from my eyes and unusable when I'm lying down.
These glasses are fine for daytime activities, but they won't do for reading in bed, reading at the beach, or similar situations.

These glasses are a great idea. However, they do not work with long hair. The back "strap" of the glasses has to ride high up on the back of the head for the lenses to rest low on the nose (so you can see over them for distance). Long hair lays on the back of the glasses and pushes them down in the back, making the front of the glasses pop up and placing the lenses right in front of the eyes. I guess most people who need reading glasses don't have long hair?

Not as useful as I'd hoped,

I've had these for six months, and have concluded I don't like them. They don't lay flat against my head if reading in bed, and yes, I know the sides expand. The most irritating factor is the magnets pinch the skin right above the bridge. Save your money. Yes, it's a novelty, but there are much better solutions out there.

These glasses fit around your neck fine, however putting them on is quite a challenge for me. The back of the glasses stick out on my head, they are way too large and they slip off.
They look quite funny, I don't use them at all.

If you don't like getting attention, these are not for you. I'm often surprised by people's astonished reactions to the act of putting them on and taking them off; I'm so accustomed to pulling them apart, that I forget how unusual the viewing public finds it.
I have been wearing Clics for nearly a year. I pretend that I don't need glasses, but of course I do and have for nearly a decade. Popped the standard diopter lenses out, and put in my bifocal prescription. It worked great, despite a warning from my optical shop. (And even if they had broken from the experiment, the price is right: I could try it again.) Previously I was wearing glasses on a chain. Besides the various difficulties noted by another reviewer, I also found that the plastic loops that connect the chain to the arms of the glasses have a bad habit of stretching. Then the glasses slip off the chain at inappropriate times and the frames break. I call the color of mine "magenta" - which may or may not be the same as the online "red" - I bought them in a shop (**gasp**). My short hair is not a problem, but I agree that reading in bed doesn't work. So I use a different pair for those occasions.

Too-short-strap for anyone who isn't small?,

WARNING! Though these glasses are advertised as "Unisex, one size fits all", they are specifically designed with a permanent strap with extendable arms which allow for VERY LITTLE ADJUSTMENT. In my experience, even with the arms fully extended, the strap was simply too short for practical, comfortable use.
Most people like to have enough "slack" in their reading glasses to put them low on the nose so as to peer OVER the glasses to see things far away, and look DOWN through the glasses for assistance in seeing things close up. The strap on these glasses holds them too tightly against the eyes to allow me to comfortably place he glasses low on the nose. They also, by virtue of their too-short-strap design, hang very close around the neck, which I also find uncomfortable. I am a medium size man 6' tall and 190 lbs. A large professional-athlete sized man might not be able to get these around his head at all. I will say the magnet concept is attractive (no pun intended), but I would recommend that unless you are a "small" person, you will likely be disappointed in these particular glasses. I gave mine to a diminutive girlfriend who, I hope, will be able to get use out of them.

Definite learning curve,
This review is from: CliC Adjustable Front Connect Reader, 1.25 Strength, Tortoise Frame (Health and Beauty)
I agree with others here that they are not for everyone or every situation. In my professional life, I have to constantly take them off and put them on. I have a huge head and initially I had some problems with them coming apart. You need to adjust and experiment a bit. After giving them a second chance, I do enjoy them a lot. I used to have to search everywhere for a pair of my reading glasses. Now my biggest problem is crumbs. When properly adjusted, they work well. They have only a limited range of lens strengths, however. They are easy to peer over...and a bit more sporty or dare I say macho than a pair with a chain!
