What a great little book, my Grandson loved it from the first reading, he would not let us put it down. Buy it your young children will love it.

This is one of our favorite books. It gets read over and over again. This cute little set is adorable because its not only a book but a playset shaped like a farm with animals (cows/duck)...its just adorable...and I think you'd be surprised that even the littlest of readers will love it (not just 4-8 year olds).

I've met in the middle with a 4 star - we LOVE THIS STORY. It's hilarious for kids, hilarious for adults. It's so funny and cute and we've read it 4234239847 times. Borrowed it from school at first and it was so awesome I had to look it up on amazon. When I saw it came as a book/playset I ordered it right away, but a 3 year old can easily destroy this playset. Ours is in at least 9 pieces now. It's not the most durable thing ever and the book is part of the barn, so when it gets ripped apart by clumsy wee hands, you have a book awkwardly contained in 1/3 of a barn. But the story itself is the funniest thing ever, so I'm meeting in the middle and giving this set 4 stars. Sure, we have pieces of gate and cow and farmer and barn all over the playroom, but we still thumb through the book at least once or twice a week - totally worth it. :D

I love this book and already have it in hardcover. I have a 2 year old that is very hard on books and was so happy to see a board book version. The problem is that the board book is permanently attached to the back of the stand up farm. This makes it impossible to read the book while also displaying the farm and its pieces. Very odd design.

This book is great. However the extra stuff with it is not that useful and makes the book hard to read. I would just purchase the regular book.

I love this story and was excited to get this in a board book with a playset for my 3 year old. WHAT A BIG MISTAKE!! When we opened it on Christmas morning the ledge where the rooster sits fell out (it was glued at one time) and the cardboard pieces are very chinsy and hard to play with! This book has been opened twice an already the fence is torn out, the barn is falling apart and I wish that I could detach the barn and just have a nice board book!! I was hoping for something a little more 'kid friendly' but it was a waste of money!!!

I absolutely love this story, and I bought this play set hoping that I could share the board book with my young toddler who could then "grow into" the play set later. The board book does not detach from the play set barn, which makes reading the book very, very awkward. It also means that this play set and book -- with it's small pieces -- is only suitable for older children. My advice? Buy the book alone without the play set. The play set is a bad gimmick that adds nothing to the story or experience.

This is a darling book and great additions with the cows/fences/etc...you find inside. Great way for the kids to act out the story as you read along. Highly recommended story!
