Product Description

Amazon.com

Tired of losing your keys, wallet, or remote control every time you turn around? Turn to the Easy 2 Find radio-frequency locator, a convenient, high-quality gadget that finds up to four missing items in seconds. The Easy 2 Find comes with two key ring receivers, two thin receiver plates with double-sided adhesive tape (for wallets, remotes, etc.), and a single radio transmitter with four buttons. Should you lose an item, simply click the color-coded button on the transmitter and listen for the beep and look for the flash from the corresponding receiver. The transmitter can find items up to 60 feet away, and is powerful enough to penetrate walls, cushions, leather sofas, closet doors, and more. Now you'll never lose sight of your keys or wallet again. The only trick is to remember where you put the transmitter. The Easy 2 Find--which comes with all the necessary batteries--transmits on the 433.92 MHz frequency and offers a volume level of 90 to 95 dB. The bundle also includes an extra set of batteries for each item.

Product Description

This Click 'n Dig! Item Finder includes one transmitter, two key ring receivers, and two thin receivers. Double-sided adhesive tape is included for attaching the thin receivers to remotes and other items. Standard batteries come installed in the transmitter and receivers and an extra battery set is included in each package.

This convenient and high quality gadget will beep the right device every time. Simply press and hold the color-coded button on the radio transmitter to find an item up to 60 feet away. The transmitter's radio frequency penetrates through walls, cushions, and more, so the receivers will beep whether they are in another room or lost deep under the couch.

Works with keys, remote controls, checkbooks, wallets, bags, glasses cases, etc.

Package Includes: 1 transmitter with A27 battery, 2 key ring receivers with CR2032 batteries, 2 flat adhesive receivers with CR2032 batteries, 2 key ring attachments, double-sided adhesive tape, extra batteries

Technical Details: FCC Certified, Frequency 433 MHz, Sound Volume 90-95 dB, Transmitter Range 60 feet

This product comes with a complete 12 month manufacturer's warranty.

1.0 out of 5 stars Worked well, for a while... (UPDATE) July 8, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase
I bought this about 3 months ago to put on two Roombas that would get lost under furniture, etc. It worked fairly well at first, although one of the set would go off randomly on its own at night (I ditched that one and used one of the others). They work very poorly now; I've tried changing batteries with no luck.

UPDATE: I should add that the company read this review and sent me a set of replacement tags. In the meantime, I'd switched to a different system that seems to work fine, so I haven't tried the new ones, but it is certainly impressive to me that the company read these reviews and responded. On that basis, I would increase the rating if I could.

4.0 out of 5 stars Time saving device November 12, 2008
I recommend this product. It has as many uses as you can imagine...just be creative. The only thing that keeps this device from being perfect is the range which for me seems to be about 25-30 feet. I put one of these locaters on my cat collar. It's big but lightweight and the cat doesn't mind because he's concentrating on going outside. I go with him but in the past had a hard time keeping track of him. Now I can sit, read, smoke my cigar, enjoy other things while keeping track of him with just the push of a button. When he's out of sight I press the button and his collar device beeps. gotcha! And when it doesn't beep I just hold the button in and walk around until it DOES beep. At least then I know I'm within 25 feet of him and can track him. I'm thinking I will attach one to the remote control next.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little gadget November 15, 2008

I am constantly losing my keys, cellphone, and remote controls. The Easy 2 Find comes with 2 keychain and 2 stick on units and the remote (plus a nice touch they included extra batteries for everything). I keep the remote in a central place and I attached the key chain to my keys and one to my purse. The stick ons I used for my cellphones. The stick-ons really stick and have survived the wear and tear bouncing around in my purse. The keychain units seem likewise pretty tough (I was concerned about that before purchasing). The beeps are loud enough to hear within the house and it pretty much does as they advertise it. Overall, it does the trick and am happy with my purchase.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not loud enough December 22, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase
I gave this item to a friend who was always misplacing his keys and wallet. He reports that it's too quiet, much quieter than a ringing cell phone, for example. So it works great as long as you're within about 10 feet of the lost item, or it's 2am and totally silent. Put one inside a wallet in a jeans pocket in the laundry hamper and you need to realize that's where to look so you can get close enough to hear it. You'll only find those keys in the cushion in the couch if you're in the same room with the TV off. Seems to defeat the purpose.

4.0 out of 5 stars To the rescue. August 12, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase
Like many drivers, I keep two sets of car keys and, consequently, am usually able to find one and get on the road. The only thing distinguishing the two sets is a tiny, penny-sized fob, which admits me to a building and radio studio. Of course, when I'm able to find only one of my two sets, the one I can't find is invariably the one with the fob. The show must go on but not if I'm not there to go on along with it. After my most recent near-miss, I decided it was time to take matters in hand and look for a key-finder. Amazon offers a decent variety, most of them, it seems, unable to muster more than one or two stars from dissatisfied customers. This one ranked higher in consumer satisfaction than most and, moreover, from a large number of reviewers--surprising, given its low profile, unless it's a model formerly carried by Amazon and recently discontinued. Nevertheless, the remaining dealer of the Easy 2 Find locator shipped it out immediately, and it does appear to be up to the task. Although the price isn't necessarily reflected in the materials, the seller thoughtfully includes five spare batteries (hearing-aid-type discs that can easily run [...] bucks). You may not wish to be too quick to remove the tab that activates the pre-installed batteries. Battery-life is estimated to be 3-6 months, so in the event of an emergency, it would probably be quicker to go to a fresh remote control than fumble with installing a new battery. Two of the remotes are designed to fit on a key chain; the other two are designed to be fastened to a flat surface (a switch for a TV set?). The instruction sheet is uncomplicated, though if the "purple" remote looks more like gray to you, the problem is probably not with your eyes.... Read more ›

1.0 out of 5 stars DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY--THEY DIDN'T WORK June 7, 2009

Alarm not loud enough to find anything if you didn't already know where it was. But most annoying, the alarms went off randomly while walking with the device attached to my keys in my purse. Had to remove the battery to silence it.

I purchased this as a father's day gift. It was expensive and most importantly it doesn't work well. We tried it on the tv remote and you had to be almost on top of the remote before it beeped. This would be useless if you were searching the whole house for car keys. Don't waste your money!!!!

Great key finder. Haven't needed it yet but test it all the time and works great. Not too bulky. One remote for 4 different things. Easy to use!

3.0 out of 5 stars Great Product
The idea gets seven stars, but the beeper needs to be louder to locate the item. Increase the beeper volume and it gets 5 stars.
