Plain and simple, these Builder's Bars are one of the best tasting protein bars you can get. They are crispy and chewy at the same time and they aren't super sweet like a candy bar. And at 2.4 ounces a piece they are large enough and filling enough to be a meal replacement.

And the one thing that I really like is that when I read the ingredients, I actually know what the stuff is! Nothing weird or unnatural, just real ingredients!

Out of the four flavors available (Chocolate Mint, Peanut Butter, Chocolate, Cookies `n Cream) I prefer the Chocolate Mint and Peanut Butter, mainly because they taste even less like a protein bar. I'm not saying the plain Chocolate and Cookies 'n Cream are bad tasting, just that I prefer the taste of the Chocolate Mint and Peanut Butter ones (they are all really tasty).

These are just awesome, 100% natural, high protein, real ingredients, and they taste great! I just love them!

Side note:
Do not buy these expired (like on eBay or in-store)! Since these bars do not contain any preservatives they can loose their freshness and vitamin potency quickly and can develop a simple bread mold. It is recommended that they be eaten within a month of their sell by date (they are guaranteed to be fresh one month passed the sell by date printed on the wrapper).

EDIT: I just bought myself a couple of boxes of the of the new Vanilla Almond flavor and oh my they are mighty tasty. Sometimes you just don't want a chocolate protein bar and these fit the bill perfectly! And just like the other Builder Bars they are not super sweet, just a perfect balance. That and they contain more organic ingredients then the other Builder Bars (39%).

If chocolate is not your pleasure try the Vanilla Almond bars, you will not be disappointed!

Just wanted to note that my delicious bars arrived MELTED as noted by another reviewer. I ended up placing in the fridge, and then taking out before eating. Turns out, I didn't find them that great directly from the fridge. Also, they just didn't taste as fresh as the ones I buy individually from Wal-Mart. I couldn't tell if that was because they had melted, or just weren't as fresh to start with.

I really like these bars. I eat one everyday with a piece of fruit. My wife ordered them online with Amazon because of the price. While it was cost effective and convenient to have them delivered right to our door the bars were a bit heat damaged. We will not order this type of product on Amazon again.

I love C-builder bars, but the ones I received last week the outer chocolate covering got heated up during transit, so the covering stuck to wrapper and became piddle- rains small bits of chocolate.

The bars had melted while in storage or transit and the chocolate coating was stuck all over the wrapper. Of course, it became solid again, but was still a real mess whenever I tried to eat one of the bars. Otherwise, it's a good tasting protein bar made Clif Bars.

I love the cliff bars. I have one with me all the time. It's hard to believe it's a protein bar. It works for at least 3 hours.

An excellent selection for those who like to eat high protein bars. This is the best tasting bar I've ever eaten. It sustains my hunger for hours and is the only one that really can be called a meal replacement.

Yummy for those who love chocolate and peanut butter.

We love these Builder's Bar. We especially like the peanut butter ones. We use them for breakfast and have energy all day. We also eat them before we go on a bike ride or go hiking and can't believe the stamina they give us. They are highly recommended by my husband and I. They are also a great value buying them in the pack of 12.

I personally am addicted to these bars. I tell myself they are much better than regular chocolate bars and I do believe that. I actually prefer the taste of these to regular chocolate bars.

Like most Clif Bar products (Luna etc) these are very tasty. Normally the higher protein bars taste like chalk and chemicals. These are truly more candybar like in taste.. very impressive for a healthy protein fix. Peanut Butter is my fav flavor but the Chocolate is good as well.
