I have owned this box for several years and still love it. It is plastic but a very durable, tough plastic-it has taken a beating and still is solid. The foam strips inside have stayed adhered to the plastic and the magnetic plate is awesome for the very small flies. I highly recommend this box. I have bought cheap boxes in the past and they haven't held up like this one has. Don't listen to the other reviewer- he apparently doesn't own this and the reason they show flies in the picture are that they help show how it functions and give a sense of scale. If it really came with the flies, they would have to charge a few hundred bucks. It's a big box but fits perfectly in one of my pockets- it's really the only box you need for most uses. Get it!

I've owned two of these boxes for several years. I consider they are great fly boxes, made of hard durable plastic. The transparent plastic helps to search quickly for the right box when you have several boxes. The foam bands are durable and haven't detached. The magnetic plate is a great idea to keep tiny flies. As a previous reviewer said, you can't get a fly box full of flies for [...] bucks.

Have just ought my third Cliff's box... the Super Day's Worth. Looking forward to filling up my vest with Good Boxes that last.

Also... Only a COMPLETE MORON would think that a fly box comes with flies... do you think the car comes with the people in the ad?? Idiots!

This is a great box and holds a large amount of flys,very strong.
For you people that say read the fine print that it has no flys with the box its not fine print
and you should pull your head out of your ass and try reading,sometimes reading is useful before
buying a product!!

This box is awesome. I love the magnetic area for nymphs,which is shown with flies in it,Very helpful imaging. I find my flies easy to see from all angles and easy to grab. I can't believe people think flies come with this,how NAIVE.

After trying many different brands and styles of fly boxes, I have been sold on the all of the Cliff Outdoor fly boxes. They all work great. The blue foam material they use is outstanding. It is much sturdier, holds hooks better and last longer then other similar style materials used in other fly boxes. And the boxes themselves are very rugged. They take quite a beating.

Have been using Cliffs Boxes for the past 3 years. They are an excellent product and excellent value. Well done. I will now comment on the 4 reviews that gave Cliff one star due to the fact that the boxes were pictured with flies in them. To think that there folks out there that thought that the box would come with flies for this price is a testament to the poor education of the consumer in all 4 cases. Fly fishing flies sell for anything from .99 cents on sale to up to $20 plus dollars for the really large salt water big game creations. To think that anyone would 'go' for the idea that the box comes with flies at this price is very funny.

Anyhow, purchase Cliffs boxes without hesitation, give them away as presents. Walk don't run! Thank you Cliff!

The people down grading this product because it does not include the flies shown in the picture cannot be experienced fly fishers. The flies shown are worth 10 times more than the price shown for the fly box.

Unfortunately, the box does not actually hold the flies very well. I own a number of Cliff Outdoors fly boxes. The Cliff's Days Worth is a pretty nice small fly box. The others look good but simply do not hold the flies securely. I walk a lot while fly fishing. At the end of a day, almost half of my flies have worked their way loose from the foam pads and are tangled in the box. To me this is simply not acceptable.

This box is pictured full of lures. However, it does not come with any. As well, this item is about double in price compared to other sporting goods stores. I included it on my wish list thinking that it was a combo purchase. However, after receiving the gift, I was disappointed. I didn't read the fine print, so it's my fault. However, the picture is very misleading. Buyer beware. Very disappointed.

I agree with 2 previous posts that this product is VERY misleading. I was under the impression I was paying for a box WITH flies. However, the box is EMPTY. That will make for a great Christmas present, right?????
