Reggae meets the 80's syth sound,
By A Customer
This review is from: Cliffhanger (Audio CD)
Cliffhanger is a turning point in Cliff's music, where he moves from a more traditonal reggae sound (Bob Marley like) to a frenzied electronic sound which borrows a great deal from 80's pop music. Cliffhanger's sound is Jimmy Cliff's biggest and grandest, showcasing an amazing variety of new reggae hooks that became the basis of much of the reggae music in the years following Cliffhanger's release.

positive surprise,

This review is from: Cliffhanger (Audio CD)
This is the first time I hear a Jimmy Cliff album and I'm positively surprised. It's good reggae music mixed with 80spop. To one of my suprises La Toya Jackson wrote two songs: American Sweet and Brown Sugar. She already wrote his major hit "Raeggae nights", and if you liked that song, you will like this album too.
