4.0 out of 5 stars We meet Clifford's talented family!
In this book we get to meet the members of Clifford's family. We meet Clifford's mom, his sister (a seeing-eye dog), his brother (a rescue dog), his other sister (a farm dog), and his father. There are some action scenes that make the book fun, as well. My daughter loves this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Clifford's Family, October 2, 2003
A Kid's Review
This book is about Clifford the Big Red Dog and how him and his owner Emily Elizabeth go to see Clifford's Family. Clifford had 2 older sibilings and 1 younger sister. There names are Claudia, Nero, and Bonnie. He goes to visit them and see all his family. This book is for children 2-5 years old. Clifford's Family is a good book for beginning readers to start out with.

5.0 out of 5 stars Can't go wrong with Clifford!, August 1, 2011

Yes, it's Clifford the Big Red Dog and everyone loves his story books. My 3 month old grandson loves Clifford because at 3 months; babies can see red colors the best. He will watch with his eyes and turn his head when you turn each page as you read him the book. Clifford's Family is yet another great book because Clifford's family is quite entertaining. Clifford never grows old; my son and now his son both loved the Clifford series of books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Clifford's Family, May 20, 2011
It's about a dog. He wants to see his family. He sees his family but a taxi is in the way. This reminds me about my dog Piper. You should read this book. It's great.

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Clifford's Family (Paperback)
This book is about the family of Clifford and how they came through for Clifford when he was in trouble. It teaches to love your family and to treat them well. I would say that the age level of this book is around the age of 9 and younger before the child gets into bigger and more interesting books to read. I would say the book was good because it wasn't too long and drawn out and it taught a lesson.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for your pint sized reader!, May 5, 2009
This review is from: Clifford's Family (Paperback)
This book is wonderful for young children. Physically, it is lightweight, which makes it easy for them to hold onto themselves. The pages are easy to turn, and in my household, that is a huge plus. I have an independent three year old whose goal in life is to do as much as she can without any help. This book makes her feel like she's a "big girl", since she can hold it and turn the pages without assistance.

The words on the pages are easy to see, and simple enough that early/young readers won't get frustrated. For parents reading to their children, you can easily see the words on the page even while your child holds the book in your lap or while sitting next to you.

The best part of this book is that children are introduced to a very diverse group of people and animals. We meet Clifford's sibling who is a seeing eye dog for a blind lady, we meet Clifford's sibling who is a fire rescue dog at a fire station, Clifford's sibling who is a sheep herding dog on a farm, as well as Clifford's dad who lives in a house with a lot of children but does not have the fancy things some dogs have, such as a dog house, collar, or a special bowl.

This book gives you a great opportunity to discuss the differences in people with your child. Your child learns that even though Clifford's dad doesn't have a lot of fancy dog stuff, he is a very happy dog! My child was surprised to learn that not everyone can see.

This book makes for a fantastic reading experience overall. My daughter really enjoys the Clifford series. You should take advantage of the 4-for-3 offer, and also pick up Clifford's Kitten, Clifford the Big Red Dog: Clifford's Manners, and Clifford's Good Deeds. These are my daughter's picks of the Clifford litter!
