The car works fine without the track. Will even climb up the side of a refridgerator, but if you try to make it go on the track it falls off everytime it hits the loop, no matter how you try to configure the set-up.Therefore I would not buy this product if you want to run the car on the track. My Grandson was very dissappointed that it would not stay on the track.
