5.0 out of 5 stars Should be required reading for all high school seniors, March 4, 2008
"Climbing the Money Mountain" covers those issues that Mom and Dad never talked about and you probably won't hear in any classroom. Randy has definitely filled in the gaps when it comes to essential knowledge for today's young adult. If you're a parent, grandparent, aunt or uncle, buy this book for the teenagers in your life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Climbing The Money Mountain, December 7, 2007

I have just completed reading Climbing The Money Mountain, which
I enjoyed immensely. Being a very successful businessman I feel
it covers the overall financial concepts young adults should be
equiped with to move forward successfully in life. I have sent
copies to my nephews and neices as a must read. You owe it to
your family and relatives to read this book. The return on
investment is enormous.

I've read this book. I'm 75 years old and have basically followed the advise given in this book throughout my life. I'm relatively financially stable which is a great benefit to living a happy and comfortable life. I recommend this as an absolute read for all young people from high school age and up. The book can be a valuable guide to a rewarding future.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy read for Easy money!, December 9, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is a great book for young adults preparing to start out on their quest for the "brass ring".

We all hope for the "easy life" when we're young. Comfortable home, great job, money to spend. Problem is, we don't know how to avoid the traps and pitfalls between us and that goal. This book is a great start to making the right decisions and, more importantly, avoiding the WRONG ones.

It's an easy read, suitable for high school and up. It talks in a simple and clear way but it never slips into patronizing or lecturing that could bore most young adults (and regular adults, come to think of it).

Even at my stage of career, I actually picked up some new tricks from the book, proving, I suppose, that I'm not as smart as I think. And I see that as the REAL gift of this book. No matter how sharp you think you are, this book probably can offer you one or two golden nuggets to make your dreams more likely to come true.

I would have loved to have this book while I was still in high school...would have saved me some tight days between paychecks!

5.0 out of 5 stars I GOT A DEAL - THANKS RANDY !, November 5, 2009
This review is from: Climbing the Money Mountain (Hardcover)
I love this book !!! Reading this book has helped me in many ways to understand those elusive financial basics I never learned earlier in my life. So -- I followed Randy's advice, step-by-step, to buy a new car and I got a really good deal -- a great new car, and all on my terms. For once I didn't have to compromise. When I got to the dealer, I knew exactly what I wanted, how much I wanted to pay each month, and what my trade-in was really worth. It worked. WOW ! Now the book has become my primary reference for all financial related questions and purchases.
I sure wish I had this help earlier in my life. The knowledge and understanding on how to manuever through all the important financial decisions you face needs to happen as early as possible-- but I am living proof that it's never too late. Everyone should get this book for themselves as well as their children and friends. Let's avoid another financial crisis in the future.
Thanks Randy - I am a big fan. When's the next book coming out? I hope you're directing it to us older folk -- we need it!
