Their music is unique and distinctive.

I love the bass riffs, and her voice goes well with the instruments and the power of the songs.

It's a very good album, but she makes it a great album.

Another excellent album from Unsun. Mauser continues to lay down some great riffs. Like their first album this one is closer to pure/straight metal than death metal like Vader or goth, goth/doom, doom like a lot of other Polish/Finnish/Swedish bands but is a very good album. This one has some more epic and mournful sounding songs than the previous album and has a darker feel on a lot of the songs. Back to back 5 star albums from Unsun and guaranteed to make me a permanent fan if Mauser continues putting out music of this quality.

This is the only cd I own from Unsun and I'm very pleased with their sound. My favorite track is "Home" which I can listen to over and over again. If you like other european symphonic metal bands then you'll like this one too. I would suggest that you try youtube and listen to several tracks from them.

This is a good heavy metal even though the singer has a weird delivery. I've noticed this with a lot of european female metal. The singer seems to pronounce her words wierd like she's reading them off a hooked on phonics cue card. English language problems aside this is some top notch metal with plenty of beefy riffs and some melodic interludes. If you like heavy metal with lots off riffs and singing with lots of melody(and wacky off kilter linguistics) you will love this. Good stuff.

My first intro to this band was the rather tasty single and accompanying video to the song Whispers from their first slab. And from then on I've kept an eye on them. Good thing to because this is a solid metal release and my reasons for saying so are;

Firstly: Full bodied instrumentation. While the band have got a female singer they haven't gone the fey route with delicacy all over the arrangements. Rather than desperately trying to look heavier than they are (a common issue in the 80's I recall) Unsun is a metal band. And that's just the way it is. So I like the honesty - they aren't marketing themselves as something they aren't. The music has big drumming, big guitars and big noise in general.

Secondly: Vocalist Aya has an interesting 'English as second language' delivery which gives the whole thing a strangely hypnotic aspect. I wouldn't want all my bands to sound like this but it is beguiling.

Thirdly: One gets the sense of professionalism creeping from the cracks of this release. You can feel the effort that went into trying to make this album as good as it could be. It feels in some indefinable way to be the product of a band in control of it's own destiny and unlike my second point, that is sometihng I'd like in all my bands!

Possible downsides are the fact that it can feel like a fairly dense album. There are few handholds with which the newcomer can come to grips with the album though single Home is probably a good place to start (tasty video too by the way). There are few totally naff tracks on this album. Truth be told there is only one - The Last Tear - which is pretty abysmal.

Production feels dense but also well thought out. The booklet is nicely rendered with full credits/lyric and a raft of nice artwork and the whole thing reeks of a band on a mission. A very solid four stars but not the full five due to the dense nature of the 'feel' meaning it can be a meaty album to work your way through.

As the title says, I think this is a great album and I have been pleasantly surprised by it. I got it 2 days ago and have been listening to it since as the pieces on it are quite catchy. I thought that the vocals would be distracting but I honestly don't think the accent gets in the way of the music. In fact, I think you'll soon stop noticing anything. While the singer's range is not a wide as, say, Sharon den Adel's, her voice is still really good, she keeps to the tempo of the music and in fact her voice and the music complement each other really well. This could also be attributed to the excellent production of the album: the cover looks great, the music and the vocals come through as one, and the sound is clear and unmuffled.

If you're looking for something more operatic like Nightwish, this is not it. I would place it somewhere between Epica and Flyleaf, although I think they're trying to develop their own sound and I think it works, especially with the singer's distinct voice and the really good music!

I recently got The Unforgiving from Within Temptation and even though the band is one of my favorites, I got bored with it soon into just half of the CD. Not so with Clinic for Dolls. This is a really strong album and you'll get hooked on it after just the first song. I look forward to more from Unsun! (I initially gave it 4 stars for lack of perfection but an hour later came back and upped it - can't stop listening to them and wondering what a GREAT album this is!)

UnSun is one of the best bands to come out of Poland. Their music is unique and distinctive. Riveting guitar steady drum beat and vocals addictive. Love this music.

The album is okay. There are a few really good songs but it is not as good as the first album they released

I bought End of Life a few months ago, and totally fell in love with the group. I love the bass riffs, and her voice goes well with the instruments and the power of the songs. So bought this the other day. It's just not quite up to the other album. I can't do a song by song review like some, I don't pay that close attention to each individual song on any album. But just overall, it seems lacking something that made me love End of life so much. Her voice almost gets a sort of drone to it after awhile to me.
So, a good album for Unsun fans, but not the best.
