A must-have for anyone that deals with back pain!,
By
This review is from: Clinical and Radiological Anatomy of the Lumbar Spine, 4e (Paperback)
This book, by one of the worlds most highly regarded experts in the field of spinal pain management and clinical anatomy is my favourite text relating to low back pain (a close second is Gordon Waddell's 'The Back Pain Revolution', which has a different focus). I have bought every edition of this text since the second, and it keeps getting better and better through the addition of relevant research findings and additional chapters. Anybody familiar with Bogduk's impressive research background will see that the author knows enough to make this text extremely complex, however, he shows his thorough understanding of the subject by making the contents comprehensive yet very accessible, whilst maintaining the precision that has become his hallmark. It is not expensive compared to other books in the field and the diagrams help to make potentially complex topics even more accessible. If I could give the book 6 stars, I would.

Good short book on clinical anatomy and mechanics of the lumbar spine. Very little on pathophysiology. Discusses abnormal movements and rotations contributing to herniated discs. Clinical Biomechanics of the Spine by White/Panjabi and Benzel's Biomechanics of Spine Stabilization are better and more comprehensive.
