This book only provides the absolute basics. I really like the other subjects in this series, but this book falls short. It does not have a large quantity of material and does not go into detail about anything- which is necessary in medical school. If you are just looking for a fun little book to read up on anatomy then this might be good, but if you are looking for something to supplement your textbooks and course material for a graduate level course then you should look elsewhere.

I found this incredibly helpful for gross anatomy. I did great when I used this book to go through the information that my professor was talking about- and then referred to Netter's and/or Gray's. When crunch time came, I found I was able to do well enough on exams with mainly studying this book. ("Well enough" being the key phrase :)

This is a nice book -but for my purposes, as a first term chiropractic student, it is just a little TOO simple.

I bought this book prior to my 3rd year surgical rotation because I was scared I had forgotten everything about anatomy from first year. The book has some good ideas and mnemonics if you like them. Personally I didn't find it that helpful and I don't like mnemonics. I found it easier to look through a text like Surgical Recall which reviews the anatomy of specific surgeries as well as common pimp questions. Also looking at a surgical atlas and the steps of a specific surgery was a good anatomy review prior to the case.
