5.0 out of 5 stars Extremely useful tool
This book got me through medical gross anatomy! It is by far the most useful book I had. It cuts through all of the superfluous garbage in other books and teaches you what you need to know, how you need to know it. Thanks Dr Goldberg!

I only wish the author wrote companion books on histology and embryology.

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed
I was really disappointed with this book. I expected that it would be a treasure chest of memory aids (e.g. rhymes, humerous pictures) for everything from muscle origins/insertions to topographical features of bones. While it does offer a few memory aids, it is primarily a review book, just like any other. In fact, compared to the BRS series it falls far short in the...

This book got me through medical gross anatomy! It is by far the most useful book I had. It cuts through all of the superfluous garbage in other books and teaches you what you need to know, how you need to know it. Thanks Dr Goldberg!

I only wish the author wrote companion books on histology and embryology.

Other people who are whining about it don't know what they are talking about. The people saying that it is organized wrong must not have read the part where it explains the fact that the organization was done on purpose because it makes more sense to learn anatomy from a systems model than from a regional model, which is done merely to make dissection and tests easier. The point of this book is that it presents anatomy how it SHOULD be presented, not in the inefficient, nonsensical manner it already is presented at medical schools. These people missed the fact that the book includes a regional based table of contents so that you can correlate and cross reference it with any other textbook. The author went out of his way to make this book useful to medical students because that is who this book is for.

The people who think this is primarily a review book apparently haven't even read the book. It would be great to use as a review, but it is written primarily as a high yield learning tool.

The people who think this book is not in depth enough seem to think they should be handed everything. These gunners should stop whining. That's why you have to buy a good atlas and perhaps other texts, go to class, and do your dissections. You won't learn everything in this book, but you will get a lot of good use out of it.

I was really disappointed with this book. I expected that it would be a treasure chest of memory aids (e.g. rhymes, humerous pictures) for everything from muscle origins/insertions to topographical features of bones. While it does offer a few memory aids, it is primarily a review book, just like any other. In fact, compared to the BRS series it falls far short in the level of detail offered. Therefore, I think it fails as a review book and it fails as a source for memory aids. It may be useful as a review book for an undergraduate level anatomy course.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as "Microbiology made simple", August 18, 2008

This review is from: Clinical Anatomy Made Ridiculously Simple (Medmaster) (Paperback)
I bought this book based on my experience with the "Microbiology made ridiculously simple" book. This book is a good learning aid, but nowhere nearly as good as the microbiology text. In my opinion, this is a mediocre anatomy supplement that is leaching off the success of the Microbiology book that is similarly titled.
