Great quick reference, March 22, 2010
This review is from: Clinical Anesthesia: Near Misses and Lessons Learned (Paperback)
If you're looking for a detailed review, this is not the book. If you're looking for "what if" scenarios, this is it. These are all real cases that JBU and his residents were involved in.
Hopefully, you'll never come across these situations, but if you do, and have read this book, you'll have a starting point for your (emergent) therapy.
If you can find the earlier book, "Near Misses in Pediatric Anesthesia", grab it too. They are different cases.
My bias: I was a resident with JBU at Stanford 10 years ago.

A Fascinating book.
Very few anaesthesiologists have the authors vast experience in 3 contintents, Europe, Africa and USA. Was trained by Dr.Brock-Utne for 5 years in South Africa. His teachings have greatly helped his students in their day to day anaesthetic duties
Cheers
