Jacqueline Corcoran, Ph.D., is Associate Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Social Work. Her recent books include Clinical Applications of Evidence-Based Family Interventions (OUP, 2003) and Building Strengths and Skills (OUP, 2005).
Joseph Walsh, Ph.D., is Associate Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Social Work. He is the author of Theories for Direct Social Work Practice and coauthor of The Social Worker and Psychotropic Medication.

Corcoran and Walsh have done the unthinkable - they've make the DSM readable!!! An objective look at the DSM that will be of benefit to mental health professionals across disciplines.

This book really aims at helping Social Workers, not only find a diagnosis, but also a treatment approach. I haven't really had the time yet to really dive into the book, but I skimmed it when it arrived - and it is exactly as the product was described. Definitely a good purchase and something I can see myself using again and again... :)
