5.0 out of 5 stars A Survival Guide!
This was a fantastic book! I call it the "Cliff Notes" version of the textbook. If you're having trouble with the amount of assigned readings in your textbook, I highly recommend you get this book. My whole class is jealous that I got this book because they had to wait months for their copies.

1.0 out of 5 stars don't bother
I purchased this book to use as a companion when I was doing my clinical rotations as it was a more convenient book to carry to a hospital...the problem is that most times, the book refers to pages in the enormous Lewis book.

5.0 out of 5 stars cliff's notes for the textbook, March 18, 2008
Excellent for when you need the information and don't want to read an entire chapter to find it out. I call it the Cliff's note's version of the textbook. All major diagnosises are included, their etiologies, assessments, diagnostics, and treatments. Useful in clinical.

5.0 out of 5 stars BUY THIS BOOK, December 28, 2007
LEWIS IS THE HARDEST BOOK TO READ, BUT THE LEWIS CONPANION IS SO EASY TO READ. JUST LOOK UP THE MEDICAL PROBLEM AND READ EVERYTHING ABOUT IT. I GOT THIS BOOK IN MY 2ND YEAR OF NURSING AND I WISH I WOULD HAVE FOUND IT THE FIRST YEAR.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good things in small packages., March 2, 2008
This book is amazing! As a student nurse, we are required to have our Medsurg book at the clinical site. Those of you that have seen the book can agree that you can seriously hurt someone with that book; I mean it is huge! This companion has been a life-saver in every way. It is compact, has all the pertinent information, and is easy to read. I truly recommend it to all nursing students. Good Luck!

This is good to have with you during clinicals. I am going to purchase the Lewis workbook (studyguide). The clinical advisers have shown us it helps a lot.

This is a really nice little reference book...I keep it with me at work for quick reference. Very helpful, since Nurses have to keep so much information at hand when assessing our patients. Inexpensive, and valuable.

5.0 out of 5 stars companion, May 31, 2008
I found the Lewis companion guide irreplaceable while studying for an exam or during clinical. Plus small enough to carry in your backpack. Best book I purchased since I've been in nursing school.

This book is so helpful. I have the big textbook version but this is so much easier to take with you to clinical or where ever and be able to quickly look something up. I love this book! Definitely recommend this to anyone who has the main texts.
