My nursing school uses the Iggy textbook that goes with this study guide. I found this guide to be so helpful preparing for exams. It gives plenty of questions for each chapter and provides multiple formats (multiple choice, fill in the blank, matching, true/false, etc). I scored an average of 8 points better on exams I used this to study for. I highly recommend this guide if your school uses the textbook.

If you are using the text that goes along with this study guide, you will have a leg up. The nursing school that my daughter goes to uses, the accompaning text...and use the studyguide questions as the format matt for making their questions. Since the nursing criculum is so board, everyone needs a little edge to help focus. This is not a cheat, so don't look for the easy way...but, this text will help you focus on the key elements so that you don't spend you time chasing rabbits.

This book may be somewhat helpful in just reviewing the information you've read in the main text, however the questions are not NCLEX style questions. In nursing school, it is extremely important to do all of your questions in nclex style so you get used to it. Not many people at my school have found this book helpful, but I bought it anyway thinking I might find it somewhat helpful. Not so. I gave it three stars though because it can't hurt. It's not awful. Nothing that is going to help you study in any way is useless... but like I said, it's not nclex style so it won't reinforce that style of question understanding (which is mostly application and prioritization) These questions are pretty much just fact based- like a test you would take in high school or non-nursing classes.

This book absolutely did not help me. Everything in this study guide is memorization of facts. The NCLEX is not set up like that and has become more application heavy; meaning what would you do in this scenario first, instead of what is the definition of something (basically what the entire guide is, or at least seems to be).This book is more for people that can't remember the definition of a term or the patho of a disease. I used the study guide for about 5 different chapters and then I stopped, and my grade improved after I stopped using this book. This is because I had more time to study using the main textbook and most importantly good NCLEX review books. I would stick Med-Surg Reviews and Rationales for the studying part and another good NCLEX book like Saunders. They will help you out 100% more than this study guide.

This book has more than a 100 questions and answers per chapter and it is very helpful for exams. Very good buy.

I used this book to study for midterm and final and I am glad I spend the money for this extra study guide. It has helped me a great deal.

THIS IS NOT WHAT I EXPECTED. IT DOES HAVE ALOT OF PRACTICE QUESTIONS FROM EACH CHAPTER, BUT IT DOESN'T HAVE A RATIONALE FOR EACH CORRECT ANSWER. IT COULD HAVE BEEN A WHOLE LOT BETTER IF IT WOULD EXPLAIN THE CORRECT ANSWER TO EACH QUESTION. THAT IS THE ONLY FLAW I SEEN WITH IT. NOT SURE IF IT REALLY HELPS ANYMORE THAN THE CD PRACTICE QUESTIONS OR THE WEBSITE PRACTICE QUESTIONS.

Great tool for nursing students to add to the their bag of tricks. Gives exposure to nclex style questions. Well worth the money if you can put in the time to complete exercises.

The book has a significant amount of NCLEX sytle questions for each chapter allowing you to get a good idea if you comprehended the information in the textbook. I feel the workbook is extremely helpful in identifying areas of strength and weakness, allowing you to perform a focused review.

Definitely helped with studying for Nur 110, greatly recommend this study guide. Been doing ok so far in this class so I bought the guide and it has increased my grade by 10 points so far.
