5.0 out of 5 stars good for beginning kinesiology student
The text book is well organized and written in an understandable fashion. I used the lab book also which I did not find to be very helpful.

1.0 out of 5 stars Save your money
This book was required as supporting material for an OT program. This book is full of mistakes and the diagrams are very hard to follow, misleading, and/or mislabeled. Truly a waste of money, save your money and check it out from the school library and photocopy the darn thing if you have to use it. Useless is an understatement.

1.0 out of 5 stars Clinical Kinesiology -- Save Your Money!, October 28, 2003
By A Customer
This text book is an abomination. It is riddled with mistakes, often incomprehensible in its explanations, and fairly useless as a reference book. Its schematics and diagrams are consistently mislabeled and confusing. The salient points of each chapter are either obscured or misguided. Avoid this mess; don't waste your time or your money.

1.0 out of 5 stars Never again will I use this for a textbook, May 27, 2003
By A Customer
I made the mistake of selecting this book to teach functional anatomy and kinesiology. There are numerous mistakes and emphasis in the text is on information that is not pertinent for PTAs. The author neglects other information that is essential for PTA students. I ended up trashing the book midway through the semester and creating my own "text". I am just sorry my students paid hard-earnded money for this text that they will never use as a reference.
Reviews from students were summarized as a "D".

1.0 out of 5 stars A disgrace, November 16, 2008
This review is from: Clinical Kinesiology and Anatomy (Clinical Kinesiology for Physical Therapist Assistants) (Paperback)
It is unbelievable that this book can continue to be published over and over again, with the same mistakes, edition after edition. The book is full of inaccuracies, mislabeling of diagrams, and utter confusion. The publisher and author should be ashamed.

1.0 out of 5 stars Extremely disappointing., June 21, 2002
This book has been very poorly edited. It's layout is haphazard and its anatomical illustrations are so poorly rendered as to make them essentially useless. This is surprising given that the publisher (F.A. Davis) is responsible for a large body of excellent medical texts and reference works.

This text, now in its 3rd edition, requires 3 full pages of errata. The errata sheets have been produced locally by teachers and students, not supplied by the publisher. My experience would indicate that a complete errata listing could run to 5 or 6 pages, or more!

The accompanying lab manual is somewhat useful, but suffers greatly from the same childishly drawn illustrations that are frequently inaccurate, or simply too badly drawn to be helpful.

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor quality book for Clinical Kinesiology, November 13, 2010

This review is from: Clinical Kinesiology and Anatomy (Clinical Kinesiology for Physical Therapist Assistants) (Paperback)
I am a student and have been using this book in my anatomy class this semester. Numerous errors have been found. We have had to spend class time correcting errors. All of the students and faculty I've spoken with are not happy with this text. There are other better books available use one of them.

This review is from: Clinical Kinesiology and Anatomy (Clinical Kinesiology for Physical Therapist Assistants) (Paperback)
I am using this book as a text book for a course I am currently taking and I find it helpful. It is not as detailed as other text books but it does have good illustrations and explanations. I also purchased the flashcards which I found useful for studying prior to quizzes.

1.0 out of 5 stars The worst text I have ever had to use., December 3, 2011

This text is too full of mistakes and omissions to be considered a quality tool in the classroom. When a student is asked to learn the origins and insertions of muscles in the body, it needs to be done from a well respected, accurate source. To learn from a text riddled with errors, is setting the student up for failure in their prospective field. IF YOUR INSTRUCTOR HAS YOU USING THIS BOOK, CAMPAIGN TO HAVE IT CHANGED! DON'T SHORT CHANGE YOUR FUTURE BY USING THIS TEXT!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Easy to follow..., February 9, 2009

This was a required text for a college course. Book arrived quickly and in good shape. The info was easy to follow. Several mistakes found in text, though.
