Editorial Reviews

Review

'... concise, portable handbook summarizing the majority of conditions that are seen in a pediatric emergency department. For each topic discussed, the editors have tried to include points and priorities for diagnosis, management, and follow-up care, as well as indications for hospitalization. To this end, this book is definitely a success and the editors can be congratulated. This book is an impressive, cohesive compilation of many people's work ...' Tamara Buchel, Journal of the American Board of Family Medicine --This text refers to an alternate Paperback edition.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for residents!, August 2, 2009
By
Dr. Batata (Charleston, WV) - See all my reviews
I dont usually Awrite reviews on Amazon.. but i feel every resident should know abt this book..
For a pediatrics residents, this book is simply 'A MUST'!
When i first got the book, my intention was to help me mostly in the ER kind of work.. bt no! it has almost everything i need for ER/Clinic/Inpatient/and even PICU patients!!
i dont know how they all the needed info in a relatively small book..
but for every patient i have, i would find practically everything i need (including orders/workup, the meds with doses and f/u!!) wrapped in one place...
I have to say that initially my colleagues didnt like its layout (little dry), a lot of them now have their own copies! :)
Bottom line: IF YOU ARE A PEDIATRIC RESIDENT, JUST GET IT!! u'll never regret it!
Good luck..

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Emergency Nurse Practice Text, July 26, 1998
By A Customer
This text is excellent for getting information on the material taught in ENPC for nurses. The information is clearly written and highlights those issues encountered in pediatric emergency practice. Nice work.
