A Good Review Text,
By Steve Sommers "Author of: Evil Super-Villain... (Swiss River, WI USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Clinical Coding Workout Practice Exercises for Skill Development; With Answers (Paperback)
I've been using this to review before applying for coding positions and it is a very comprehensive and thorough text providing the exact practice scenarios needed. The only thing I would quarrel slightly with is that every single problem seems to be the hardest situation you could come across and with every single one given there seems to be some 'trick' that you have to figure out. Surely in the world of coding there must be real-life situations that are simple and straight forward. It would be nice to see at least ONE example.
On the other hand, I don't think there is such a thing as too thorough and too detailed. Better to have information that you don't need, rather than not have information you DO.

This review is from: Clinical Coding Workout Practice Exercises for Skill Development; With Answers (Paperback)
This book is the best. It consists of over a thousand (probably closer to 2,000) coding exercises of all difficulty levels and the answer key explains why the answers are right/wrong. This book would be great to review or brush up on coding skills. I have learned more from this book than the other 6 I have reviewed. I do recommend that you get a newer version - every year there are lots of changes, additions and deletions of codes.
