Not For Private Practitioners,

This review is from: Clinician's Manual of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (Spiral-bound)
This manual is really written for hospital staff, students and practitioners who often handle medically compromised dental patients. There is plenty of details on health screening and tests to perform prior to surgery. For practitioners whose patients are mostly healthy, this book wouldn't be too helpful.
However, there are some chapters on implant surgery and other surgical tips, but these are too brief and far more information can be found in more specialised titles.

Except for the chapter by Stu Bergman, almost nothing has changed from the previous edition. The previous edition was good but there is essentially no updating. I could not locate any reference to BRONJ- a huge oversight. SAVE YOUR MONEY if you have the 2nd ed. Otherwise, it's still okay.
I have returned it.

This manual is good source for general dentists who are dealing with some small surgical procedures.
