5.0 out of 5 stars incredably funny and insightful, July 21, 1999

This review is from: Clinton: An Oral History (Audio CD)
I laughed until I cried. This album is the comedic equivlant of "Sergeant Pepper". Whoever wrote the material for this album deserves his own wing in the Comedy Hall Of Fame!!! Can't wait for the follow-up. Political satire is alive and well.

3.0 out of 5 stars David Frye IS Bill Clinton!, December 16, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Clinton: An Oral History (Audio CD)
For those who thought David Frye disappeared with Richard Nixon, good news: he's back, and the best Bill Clinton impersonator you have ever heard. Unfortunately, the writing on this album is inconsistent, but the funny bits -- and there are plenty of them -- are as good as the best of Frye's Nixon send-ups from the 1970's. The album even correctly predicts Bob Dole coming out as a spokesman for Viagra! If you liked Frye's Nixon, you will enjoy this most recent poke at the President.

3.0 out of 5 stars Mild Tepid, September 8, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Clinton: An Oral History (Audio CD)
I have it on CD in the truck, and it's ok for a couple-chuckle... tops, and I am being generous. You will live a full happy life without it.

Unless you are a rabid fan or a totality collector of David Frye; skip it and grab a vintage Leary or Sandler from the 1990s. Same era, right?

You'll cry laughing or embarrass yourself trying to hold the laughs in while on the MTA commuting home with your headset on.

You follow that parting shot advice.

Cheers !
