As well as perfect size for a regular size bag of chips.

On some thick bags, getting one on can be a challenge, but usually using the largest diameter clip makes it easy.

It keeps chips, bread, etc. fresh for much longer than using tape or a clip.

This product provides a way to temporarily seal a bag of chips, or any type of plastic bag or foil bag. It is an improvement over the typical clamp-type butterfly clip. It seals better, and takes up less space, and is not likely to get knocked loose accidentally. They seem very sturdy.

In our freezer, the half-finished bags of frozen veggies are kept sealed with these closures. In the pantry cabinet, we are using these for chip bags, of course, but also to hold a bag of cereal closed, even if still inside the cardboard box.

They take up very little space when in use, if the length of the clip is matched to the size of the bag opening or bag width.

Each "clip" consists of 2 pieces: a cylindrical rod and a U-shaped trough. For some reason each clip has one piece being longer than the other; maybe that makes it easier to peel them apart, when opening the bag.

These bag clips are available in various sizes and set groupings. This specific "Variety 10 Pack" is a good choice for the average household (although we later decided to buy more). This set has 4 different sizes; approximate measurements are listed below:

14" rod and 12 1/2" U-shaped trough, "large" size.
10 1/8" rod and 8 5/8" U-shaped trough, "medium" size.
6 5/8" rod and 5 1/8" U-shaped trough, "small" size.
6 1/8" rod and 5 5/8" U-shaped trough (BTW, this size is thinner in diameter than the others. This might be what they are calling the "tweener" size?).

The package contains at least 2 of each size, and 3 for some sizes (I can't remember which).

These clips make an air-tight seal, assuring that your stuff will stay fresh longer. It clamps with a lot of force, so there's a bit of a trick to putting them on and taking them off: When installing, put a good bend in the rod portion so that you're only forcing a short length into the "gripper" at any one time. Likewise, when you go to remove it, put your thumb on the exposed portion of the rod just inside the gripper and wrap your forefinger over the portion of the rod that extends out past the gripper and give the rod a good bend away from the gripper. It should pop loose pretty easily. Keep bending the rod away from the gripper until it is completely off. They ought to include this in their instructions.

Spring-loaded bag clips often seem very weak, and often they're flimsy so that there's not uniform pressure along the length. These things provide an absolute seal with a very easy on-off. On some thick bags, getting one on can be a challenge, but usually using the largest diameter clip makes it easy. I think the difficulty is because the thick bag has to make that sharp bend inside the small clip.

If you find the large clips too long, cut them in half with a shop knife and you may find them more useful.

These things are great! I am a fan of a simple solution, and that's what these are. Not over-engineered, not complicated. Anyone who sees them wants to know where to find them. I recommend the multi-pack with different sizes.

They kept my chips just as fresh as if I had never opened them! They are very difficult to close (easy to open, due to design), but they must be in order to have such a tight seal. As other reviewers have stated, these will not work for people with arthritis or other complications of the hand.

Works as advertised! Chips stay fresh. Showing them off at work. May buy more.

Tip: my wife likes to cut the bag down to size as it empties, then roll the bag a couple times over the middle piece ( spindle? ), before snapping the outer clip on. No open edges for anything to get into.

Fast delivery. They seal just fine, but as mentioned in several other reviews, are a bit difficult to put together when you are trying to put them over a bag.

These are great for all sorts of bags in the kitchen. It keeps chips, bread, etc. fresh for much longer than using tape or a clip. I also end up cutting off the excess portions of the bag above the device to save space!
