Mine broke after several months of use. I wore it almost every day, suspended from a belt loop. I had thought the adhesive might fail eventually, but no, it was the plastic clip. Luckily this happened at home and I did not lose my phone.

I did find it very useful and convenient while it lasted.

I have had 2 for over a year. Clip is very durable. One device has stuck onto my phone indefinitely, another came off after over a year. I have much better luck with this compared to the "clothespin" type, which come off of my waistband very easily. I had to remove the stuck-on one, which was easily and cleanly accomplished. Use a screwdriver to free up perimeter first, keep your fingers out of the line of the screwdriver.

Cliphangers are wonderful, easy to use and secure! I've used them for over 4 years. They fit any kind of phone and just hang from a belt loop, purse strap or whatever. When you need to answer the phone or remove it for any reason, just a slight pressure above the split in the hook opens the hanger and allows you to accss the phone. The only drawback I've found is that after a lot of use the hook becomes weakened and may break off, so I keep a spare around. Cliphangers are easy to remove from your phone leaving no residue. They are reasonably priced and readily available. Given the choice, I will always use this type of phone holder.

I've used these for several years on several cellphones. Very thin and extremely lightweight, yet adhesive is very strong and will never just "fall off". Takes a few minutes to get the hang of using your finger to flick it on or off your belt loop (or purse) with one hand, but is really simple and easy to use. I find it very comfortable to automatically slip my index finger through the loop while talking on the phone which is a handy way to hold it securely. I can't see why anyone would give it less than five stars!

I needed something like this for my son, because I was afraid he'd lose his cell phone.

When it arrived, I was a little surprised by the design. I had expected the loop to join and lock somehow but it is open on one end near the side that adheres to the phone. The two ends come close but do not lock in any way. I suppose this makes it easier to take it off with one hand when it rings, but I am afraid it may come off too easily, though it hasn't fallen off yet that I know of.

The plastic loop looks a bit flimsy. I'm not sure how long it will last. I think it will eventually break off, but it works for now. The instructions said to install the loop so that it is just high enough to put a finger through the loop, but my son's cell phone is small, so the loop comes a bit higher off the phone than that. It is good, if all I want to do is clip it to the belt loop, but if I decide I want to put it in my purse or pocket, the loop would make it awkward, and I'm afraid the loop would break.

The Cliphanger is mounted with adhesive, which seems to hold fine. It mounts to the back of the phone, so if the back is the cover to a battery and that cover comes off easily, this product is not for you.

So far so good. I am just worried about the durability of the product and the design which may cause the phone to fall off the belt loop. I guess as long as my son doesn't play rough and roll around in the dirt, this product might work. We haven't had problems yet, despite my concerns.

UPDATE: As far as I know, this has fallen off my son only once. It hasn't broken yet. I like it.

I purchased three of these for myself and my sons. I would have been fine with any of them being BLACK, SMOKE GRAY OR CLEAR. However, what I received were three HOT PINK clip hangers. Then begins the hassle of returns, refunds, etc. Amazon even challenged me in two emails and I had to fight to get free return shipping as they were NOT as described. (I'm not giving hot pink to my sons even in this enlightened age).

Be careful, you may end up with hot pink or some other strange color, even if the description says black, smoke gray, clear.

I love my cliphanger!! It makes keeping track of my phone so much easier. I bought 3--well worth the $$. :)) The cliphanger holders are awesome too!

I saw a friend with this type of hanger and she had a spare so she shared. At first I wasn't sure I'd like it but after a few weeks of use I love it. I just purchased a new case for my phone and now am buying a few to keep as back ups. It's great for your Ipod as well.

The 1st time I used the clip it fell off as soon as I sat in my car, I heard the phone drop to the ground when I reached to close the car door. The clip slips off your belt loop even easier than it does on. The clip is worthless and gives buyers a false sense of security by making them think their phone is secure. The reality is that at some point while moving around, especially bending or sitting, the phone is going to work its way off the belt loop and fall to the ground or be left behind in a restaurant, etc.

It's just more "As Seen On TV" junk!
