5.0 out of 5 stars Keeps the husk "hairs" out of your teeth!
Who needs an extra gadget to keep in your drawers? Come on... it's fairly cheap (and if you have the space) and don't like getting those little corn-husk fine fibers stuck between your teeth... buy it. It works. Easy to clean.

3.0 out of 5 stars Corn Silk Brush
This product did nothing to remove corn silk, but wired great to clean a Squeezo strainer. Maybe it should be re-marketed.

This item was smaller than I expected, but it does a great job removing the silks from the corn. The brush is soft and does not damage the corn.
I would recommend this product.I love the service I receive from Amazon.

Didnt work as I thought it would. It didn't take the husk off like I would have preferred. Its better to just do it by hand

It's not just for corn or mushroom cleaning.
This is the best nail brush that I have ever used. I lost the one that I had so I went to local stores that have kitchen departments. I couldn't find one anywhere. I checked for one on amazon.com, and there it was. What I love about the brush is that it is soft, not stiff and the bristles, being soft and fine, clean every crevice of hands and nails.

I was disappointed by the performance off this item. It did remove some silk, but certainly not all of it. I do not believe it removed any more than the previous vegatable brush I was using.

5.0 out of 5 stars makes getting corn silk off cobs very easy & no trauma to the kernals, July 2, 2011

We got some of this product some years ago at a kitchen-wares store that went out of business. My husband is the corn "lover" in this household. Getting corn silk out has been a challange for him - unitl now. This gets the corn sik out & doesn't harm the kernals! And, it's fairly cheap! They don't last forever - but I figure we got about three years out of the previous one we had.

I seem to remember reading something about a medical/surgical person realizing this brush, used in surgical scrub-rooms might make cleaning ears of corn easy. The bristles are soft - like a soft toothbrush. But, I can't imagine cleaning an ear of corn with a toothbrush - that would take "forever"!

If you love corn-on-the-cob & hate corn-silk, this product makes the process of cleaning corn easy.

Oh, BTW - to cook corn in the microwave, clean the ears completely, or leave just one layer of of the leaves on. Moisten the ears under running water & cover with a wet paper towel. Microwave on high (1000 watt oven) 5 minutes for two ears. If your microwave is smaller, it will take more time. But check for cooked status at the 5 minute time. Cook additional time, if needed. This is SOOOOOOO simple to cook corn this way

excellent brush, silk falls right off the corn, downside the top is not sealed proberly which allows water inside while washing, but still excellent for the cost.

I use this brush on all my fresh vegetables. It's very gentle, yet cleans great under running water. No trouble at all removing corn silk from the bristles. Perfect for scrubbing potatoes before baking.

This was the closest to the pampered chef brush I had. Works pretty good but the green bar on top needs to come off, all it does is hold water when you wash it.
