a slow moving film about a teen's efforts to deal with the loss of his mother, surrounded by caring friends, a cool caring priest, an eccentric grandmother and an alcoholic father. it's like an afterschool special. the actors are all great in it but it seems more like something you'd see in sunday school, then a film in a theatre.
