I am pleasantly surprised on the content of this grooming manual. I wholeheartly recommend this manual to anyone who wants to learn how to groom step-by-step. The manual begins with the instructional pictures, products and tools that should be used and progresses to the tutorials on the process that not only makes you comfortable with grooming your loved poodle but also makes the grooming experience equally pleasant for your pampered beautiful poodle.

This book walks you through the entire grooming process for your poodle starting with choosing the right supplies and then moving to brushing, bathing, and clipping. The detailed instructions are illustrated with clear photos to help you understand the grooming process.

It's really too bad this book is out of print. Although it hasn't been published in more than 30 years, this book still offers valuable information. My breeder recommended it and it's been a great resource for me. I highly recommend it!

This book went for over $20 on ebay. I just ordered it for $3.59 on Amazon! Description on ebay shows this to be an excellent how-to book for the home grooming novice.

I am not professional groomer or looking to be one just clip and groom my poodle. This is for a professional, show dog groom and clip. Title is deceiving and condition worse than stated. I thru away.

Having just rescued a standard poodle who is fearful of being groomed I thought I would learn to do it myself rather than leave her to the ministrations of strangers who may make her fears even worse. This book is dated (my copy was published in 1965) and the language and tone reflect that but it is still a useful resource. I really like that the book is spiral bound - makes it easy to refer to it as I'm working. The photos are good and the instructions are clear. This is not a book to get if you want to learn about poodles, or have a poodle that has any issues with being groomed - it is simply an instruction book for clipping and grooming - nothing more. The author is very specific about which products she recommends and, again because of the age of the book, many of these products are no longer available. I would not recommend this book to a person who wants to learn to clip their dog for shows, but it's fine for the pet owner.

A very helpful book for poodle clipping, with many different styles and cuts. Glad I purchased it.
