Although you could use this product for what it is designed for, as a webcam, it has another fantastic use... animation.
As an elementary school teacher and Dad I have used this camera with kids making little animated films. It is totally adjustable because of the goose neck so you can position it over your cut-outs or paper dolls and then use the manual focus to get it just right. Using a free program like SAM animation (mac) or Monkey Jam (pc) you can have your own little animation studio for just the cost of this camera and whatever computer you are using to read this message. The price of this camera is peanuts compared to all the hours kids can get from using it for little animated bits. If they aren't into it you still have a wonderful webcam.

I had a hard time looking for affordable webcams that work with my PowerBook G4 (I think it's the Macbook that has the camera already in the laptop). The hue works fine for me, but according to my viewers it's hazy and sucks; hence the three stars.

Combine this with a phone and it's almost like a video phone! I hooked up to vista and it found it without installing drivers. I have no complaints so far except it can be a bit tippy, depending on how it is positioned.

I bought 2 for my school to use with iStopmotion. Seemed like a match made in Heaven. First one lost connection in its gooseneck (dead.) Second one the same. Both had such low-quality image that we were unable to use the color key function.
