I've read books like the Sisterhood series Forever in Blue: The Fourth Summer of the Sisterhood (Sisterhood of Traveling Pants) and Sunshine and I couldn't wait to start something else. If you like those books, you will totally love the Clique!!

The Clique, by Lisi Harrison, is an excellent book to read for anyone between the ages of 11 and 13. It is a realistical story with a couple of unrealistical twists, but many can relate to the story of a girl who wants badly to fit in with the popular girls. The clique is made up of Massie, Dylan, Alicia, and Kristen. Massie is the leader of the clique and it just so happens that the new girl in the seventh grade, Claire, is staying at her guest house. Though the moving is temporary, Claire may change Massie's entire junior high experience. At school, Claire has trouble making friends (including with the clique), but to make it even worse Massie and her friends are completely against her and play mean tricks (like covering her in red paint and food). Though these girls are completely snotty, Claire still wants to be a part of them, and she will do whatever she can to be another member of the clique. When the humiliation reaches a whole new level, Claire decides to get even. Will her plan to become part of the clique work? Will Claire and Massie ever be friends? Read this exciting, fun-filled book to find the answers to these questions and many more pages filled with designer clothing, snotty girls, and wanting to fit in.

I got this second collection for Christmas and finished it before New Year's! I really enjoyed the first 3 and I can't wait for the 7th book to come out!

I LOVE the clique! They are well-written, funny, and satierical ( sorry if i spelled that wrong, but hey i'm 11, gimme a break!) books. I loved the first two books, but my favorite is the 4th. I reccomend the clique for girls 11-16 who love to read.
