Got this for my commute to and from work everyday. It really made the ride go by 'faster' as I was less concerned about traffic and more riveted to Cussler's great story telling. I have always been a fan of his books and now really like the "Oregon Files" series!!! Cussler's stories make for great drive material. Enough detail and suspense to keep you listening, but not so much just that it interferes with paying attention to the road (or vise versa).

I have years ago, came upon the importance of NOT listening to things on the way to work in the morning. For years I drove in silence and just got there!

Now, I have an entirely different approach. I listen to audio books and love it! One of my favorite audio authors is Clive Cussler. He is imaginative, a good story weaver and creates great books that convert well to audio!

I find that when I get to work, I am so involved in listening, that I seldom get upset by the madness of other drivers, etc. I am busy involved in a wonderful story. I may as well have someone reading to me, as I sit behind the wheel.

These are great stories and these in particular are the beginning of the series. I started out with No. 9- The Plauge Ship and decided it best to start at the beginning to understand the evolution of the characters and the ship's story!

Wonderful and full of technological items that intrigue and amaze!
Well worth the opportunity to listen and be entertained.

I drive 4 hours home every other weekend and these audio cd's have become my new best friends!
