I am so happy to finally find a book that actually shows how clocks of the past were constructed. So many dollars have I wasted on misleading titles for clocks, that end up showing mostly modern kitsch cat clocks or the like with ugly quartz movements used. And worst poorly construction plans.
This book has none of that. He does show quartz movements but recommends a true mechanical clock movement. A good woodworker can use the plans here to design his own antique styled clocks as well. Now I only wish that there was a follow-up book with more designs.
