Coldplay have had a great stream of hits since their debut. Their recent album "Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends" (and their new EP "Prospekt's March") is a partial departure from their sonic signature, attracting old fans, new fans, and skeptics alike.

But "Clocks" will forever be their signature song. The all-too-recognizable piano riff, powerful synths, pulsating bass, consistent drums, well-placed guitars, moving lyrics, fast pacing, and Chris Martin's signature falsetto, blend together to make one unforgettable song. It's been five years since I first heard "Clocks," and it is still my favorite song of all time. It represents both the good and bad times I've encountered in my lifetime.

'clocks' is a shining example of a perfectly crafted and melodically flawless song. if i'm ever forced to live out my days on a desert island and i can only have 2 songs to listen to - 'clocks' and 'speed of sound' are it !!! if you want to give me a 3rd - it would be 'bittersweet symphony' by the verve.

Hard to believe that it has been a decade since Coldplay broke through with A Rush Of Blood To The Head, and the songs still connect like a magnet to the ears. That is one thing they have been able to do, that so many acts haven't been able to shine with the past several years. Clocks, the second single from A Rush Of Blood To The Head definitely is Coldplay's opus, that broke them through from British Indie darlings, to wide mainstream worldwide fame. It definitely is one of those songs that still connects, a decade after Chris Martin and the boys from Coldplay recorded it. If you have never even heard a Coldplay song before, this is definitely is the one to start off with for your music library.

I still can't believe that "Clocks" was released over a decade ago - that's how timeless this song is. I've lost count of how many times I've listened to this song, and I never get tired of listening to it! The piano riff is so recognizable that when I hear it on the radio or in a store, I know that Clocks is being played!

I love this song. Coldplay has wonderful, soaring songs. Clocks is a song that builds on both instrument and vocals. This is a great song that gets you moving and appreciative of instrument. Lots of artists use computers to enhance vocal and instrument and this is a great example of how it is done!

This is another track by Coldplay that I enjoy immensely. It is moving and inspiring. I listen to this quite a deal when writing as it makes my muse want to cooperate. Elegant in its sound I always feel myself to be lifted when I listen to it as well.

The first time I heard this song, it played at my Granddaughter's band concert. It knocked my socks off. Learned from her that it is a Coldplay song. Not nuts about all of their music, so downloading "Clocks" was perfect for me.
