Best Blaze yet!,
By Real Music Lover "J-Man" (Wilmore, Ky USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Clockwork Gray (Audio CD)
Clockwork Grey is easily Blaze's best work to date. Here is my opinion on the tracks:
1.Intro-Really wicked sounding intro done by Madrox. 5/5 2.Crypt Keeper-Good beat and nice chorus done by Madrox, but song is too short. 3/5 3.Blaze Up-Decent song. I like Blaze's flow and ROC does a decent chorus, but the beat is kinda plain. 3/5 4.Toe Tags-Probably my favorite song on the cd. Blaze and Madrox mesh so well together in the studio. Wicked concept and the beat is hard as hell. 5/5 5.Ill Connect-Blaze and The ROC on some gangsta s**t. ROC kills it on this song. Beat isn't great, but good enough. 4/5 6.Keep It Simple-Best song next to Toe Tags. Kutt Kalhoun and Big B make great guest appearances on this one, and the beat is simply amazing. 5/5 7.Some Of Them Thugs-Good song about people you wouldn't want to mess with in the street. Monoxide adds some great flavor, as usual. Beat is pretty good. 4/5 8.Eggplant-Song about sex with fat girls. I like Blaze's flow on this one, but the chorus sucks and I'm not much for the beat, which samples an old super nintendo game called Zombies Ate My Neighbors. 2/5 9.Time Zones-Blaze givin some luv to the juggalos. Violent J is usually pretty good, but he falls kind of flat on this song and the beat isn't that great. 2/5 10.Always Acting-Great song about wanna be's. Features Twiztid and The ROC. Good beat. 5/5 11.Dead Neck-Blaze and Boondox in the cemetary having sex with dead girls, classic juggalo necrophelia song. Great lyrics but average beat. 3/5 12.Escape Artist-Definetly a different style for Blaze. Slower paced beat and he actually sings on this one. Sounds whack if you haven't heard it, but it's pretty good. 5/5 13.Wishing Well-Great song by Blaze and Madrox. About trying to wish your problems away. 5/5 14.Zodiac-A preview of Blaze and ROC's upcoming project. Wasn't really feeling the rock style for either one of them. 2/5 Overall, a very good album from the dead man. Highly recomended!

I like this album, and it has some ill songs. I just wish it stuck to this "Clockwork Gray" concept more... It goes off in directions that don't relate at all to the storyline so to speak at times. Not my favorite blaze album, I like his first 2 to 3 releases more.

I have Blazes first album and this one..I really like the first album..I just wish that he would do morfe trake by him self..The first album it was more like Blaze and ABK and everyone else..Same thing again everyone is on the album again..He needs to do more tracks on his own..
