Clogger[CD-SINGLE][IMPORT], June 26, 2000

16 Horsepower is a band not that well known in the USA but definitely should be. They write dark spiritually based music that is absolutely infectious. The music on this CD single is no different. Clogger is a song that implores the listener to take heed of one's ways. With lyrics like,"come an' sing us down give our conscience a poundin' come an' shake our ground lord with the sound of heaven's houndin'" they leave no doubt as to the intent. The music has a eerie, dark feel about it that will bring up images of Appalachia to many. The second song is a remix of Clogger which is more sparse than the first version in the beginning but by the end is much more electric. The last song is a cover of Joy Division's Day of the Lord's(16 HP are big fans). This is a good CD but since there is one remix and one cover song it will not give you the most accurate feel for their work. That being said any 16 Horsepower material is well worth having!
