Pens for art,
By
This review is from: Clorox Bleach Pen Gel, 2 oz (56 g) (Health and Beauty)
I bought two of these to use, not for removing stains or cleaning grout (I have other products for those tasks), but for making old shirts into something new and fresh and creative.
I liked that the Clorox pen offers two sizes of nozzle, even though I only used the fine tip. I found that the bleach gel flowed smoothly most of the time, but I was bothered by bubbling; I wonder if I should have shaken the tube, then tapped it firmly on the plastic cap to move all the bubbles up out of the flow of the gel. The designs I drew on my shirts came out clear and even, with good color discharge. I made sure to rinse with vinegar water, to stop the bleach discharge before washing - and now I have three new shirts to wear! I've begun to look at many of my older shirts to see if they'd be improved by similar treatment. All in all, these pens worked well for my fun and non-standard use. Song

The best bleach pen in town !!!,

Clorox scores a coup with their fantastic bleach pen. It's easy to use; and you can carry it with you when you're on the road. It can really be a lifesaver!
Just shake the pen before using and then apply the bleach by simply rubbing the tip of the bleach "pen" onto the affected area. Don't uncap both sides of the pen, however. Be careful to use only the side of the pen that releases bleach as you need it--either the narrow tip or the wider tip. Replace the cap and wash your garment right away. I would recommend using this pen only on white colored garments; I would hate for you to use it on a bright red blouse and then have it remove the red with the stain that needed bleach! Ouch! A few more caveats; just as Amazon notes, you should wear gloves to protect your hands if you're going to use this bleach pen for longer periods of time. Although the manufacturers claim this bleach pen can clean mold or mildew on bathroom tub grout, it certainly didn't make even the slightest of dents to me. You may want to use another bleach product if you find that this pen doesn't get rid of bathroom mold or mildew stains. I have to take off one star to make this a four star review. Have any further questions? Clorox has both a website and a toll free number if you need to contact them. Good PR!!! Overall, this compact bleach pen with its double sided feature of wide tip and narrow tip really saves the day! You only need to use the bleach exactly where you want the bleach to go. It seems to work best on clothing rather than bathtub grout as I personally found out. This represents a huge improvement over buckets of bleach that can get messy. Get this pen today and try it out--you won't be disappointed!

Your clothes will last longer if you use this instead of pouring bleach into the washer,
This review is from: Clorox Bleach Pen Gel, 2 oz (56 g) (Health and Beauty)
For years I have used a half cup of liquid bleach to wash my towels (I only buy white ones)and my white clothing. This worked well for me, except once when a white top had trim that was made from a different fabric, and the trim turned from white-white to dirty-white due to the bleach.
However, I know bleach is really harsh on fabric. When I saw this "Clorox bleach pen" I decided to give it a try as spot treating stains on white fabric with a bleach gel would allow me to avoid using all that bleach in the washing machine. I've used it on a couple of white tops and a pair of white shorts. Before using it you really need to SHAKE the pen (before you uncap it!) ---- the liquid and gel seem to separate. So far it has worked well - it has removed all the stains on which I have tried it (all food stains like juice from a fresh peach, marinara sauce, etc.). I haven't had to try it on ink or the really tough stains like the ones kids get on their clothes (my only "kid" is a dog, Louie.) Here's how I use it: 1 - I treat the spots on each item of white clothing by dabbing the gel on the spot, and on both sides of the fabric, then fold that item over and set it in the bathroom sink. Usually I have a couple of items and they will all fit in sink. 2 - I set a cheap little kitchen timer for 20 minutes. 3 - I start the washing machine, put in the detergent and half a cup of 20 Mule Team Borox powder, and put Downy in the little blue fabric softener ball and drop that in, along with the clothes that didn't have any stains to treat. Then I turn the washing machine off and do other things until the timer goes off. 4 - After the timer goes off I take the items that were in the sink, throw them in the washing machine, and run it.

Eliminated Mold on Caulk,

The white caulk around my tub was growing a serious amount of mold that I could not scrub off. While the Clorox Bleach Pen was also useless for scrubbing, I left some of the bleach in place. When I returned, the nasty mold was completely gone.

I read a suggestion on the internet to try this pen to get rid of black lines on the grout/caulk on tile and I used on my tub -- applied liberally, left for a while, went back later and the black (disgustingly dark before) was either all the way gone or gone after one more application. worked on the grout and on the more plasticky caulk at the tub edges. Well worth the money, so pleased.

I use these to clean the mildew or mold stains on our white tile grout. It works perfectly, where many cleaners wouldn't touch the stained coloring on the tile. I applied it and left it for 20-30 minutes then took a shower and scrubbed the bleach away with an old toothbrush. Worked perfectly and the shower tile looked new again :-) Great product!!!
